Not only that, we were warned 48 hours before 9/11 by the Libyan government of impending attack.
Our intel had identified the al-qaeda leader and his top three assistants and their location fully 24 hours before the attack.
If we had a competent president and secretary of state that left us several options.
Evacuate the consulate entirely.
Hit the al-qaeda leaders with drone helfire missiles.
Have the Libyan government arrest the al-qaeda leaders.
Dispatch a contingent of Marines to the consulate to repel the impending attack.
Demand the Libyan government protect the consulate with army troops.
Instead we did nothing at all.
Since 1941 we have gone from Jimmy Doolittle to Barry do nothing in 2012.
