I thought he was going to be ready to play soon?
UT needs the extra help on the DL. Also, I expected they would give the younger Cottam a looke at DE. He's 6'8, 255 lbs and they need the depth.

Last I heard, Fisher would be back "sometime early in the season".

It would be very helpful to our D the sooner we can get Fisher into the rotation.

Also, did Mapu play any on Saturday? I don't think he did, but I could be wrong. Wonder how he's coming along?

JT Mapu, #99, was on the participation list. But I watched the entire game and do not recall seeing him once. So I am not sure...anyone have any other info on this? And, Cottam is getting a lot of time at TE so he is not going to be moved to DE. DE is actually not too much of a problem with Ayers and Brown coming around and Walter Fisher coming back soon.

Jeff Cottam got in the game, with the twos he was the starting TE. I agree about Fisher I think he will be a starter by the end of the season when he gets healthy. Mapu played but honestly he wasn't that good. A couple plays he got penetration but for the most part he was ineffective. I don't think he has the strength or conditioning yet, understandably. I watched the DTs and Harrell was dominant even against double teams for most of the game. McGlothlin I didn't see much of I think he got injured. Dan Williams I could be wrong but I don't think he is an SEC caliber DT. He just didn't show up at all. D Bolden made some plays when he was in there though. I think it's pretty telling where we are at that position when the coaches moved Chase Nelson inside. DT is a big need in this recruiting class.

I noticed they switched D-linemen out alot. Mapu got in for quite a few and so did most others. Jumping on CAL early may help us in other ways then first thought out.
