that Arkansas could still be investigated by the NCAA for the hiring of Gus Malzhan, and the recruitment of Mustain, Damien Williams, and Ben Cleveland.

Isn't it against NCAA rules to hire a coach, so that you can sign his high school players?

At this particular point in time I must respectfully reply that I couldn't give a rats a$$ about who is working the coaching staff in Arkansas....

i dont think it is much of a problem. I believe it to be more of a " coach can i come with you, you taught me everything so far" instead of a "hey, they hired me to get you guys"

It all depends on the story the paper and the witnesses tell. The former scenario is inocuous. The latter is a violation... possibly a major one if enough zeros are involved.

There a book that chronicles the recruitment process
"The Year of the Dog", the release has been delayed until January.

I wonder if there's something in there that could be trouble for Arkansas?

Question for the Hog fans... how high was the pucker factor last Winter when Mustain re-opened his recruiting?

I bet you could not have drove a straight pin up Malzahn's @s$ with a sledge hammer after hearing that...........

You don't have to ask about last year and Mustain.

Half the fan base thinks Malzahn is out at the end of the year, and he takes Mustain with him.

There livid he was benched last week after an int, and think Malzahn is not happy that he hasn't been able to institute his Hurry No Huddle Offense, and Nutt's taken over the play calling.

You'd think there 1-8, instead of 8-1.

When you hire the high school coach of a prized recruit surely you would realize there is going to be a world of second guessing going on. Could it be already starting for the Tennessee game? Uh oh Hog fans.......

Nope, they are all happy. All were interviewed this week. No need to worry. Everyone is back healthy, cept for S b/c of knee tear. DMAC practiced all week and will be ready to play. Coached are happy with each other, its only people who hate Nutt starting these rumors.

Not very high. I was satisfied with Dick's performance in his last four starts last season. I knew he was a good football player. He played within 2 points of LSU as a frosh, so I wasn't too concerned. Keep in mind who's starting Saturday.

That said. I am happy he came to the Hogs, without a doubt.

You think Mustain's happy about being yanked after going 7-0?

"Mustain: Yay! Im the 2nd string qb now!"

Of course he is not happy, thats a stupid question

The question is how he will handle it. I saw him on tv yesterday and he said Its not his decision, but he will do what he's told to do. This Qb competition is good because it will make mustain step it up and get better.

Btw, he was talking about the coaches being happy, not certain players.

Which one leaves next year
Dick or Mustain

If Dick does well, is Mustain going to contniue to be the #2 for the next 3 years.

You sound like someone who's spent some time on Hogville.net. Nothing but doom and gloom.

What makes you say Gus is livid? Because of something you've "heard?" He's the one that pulled Mustain. After Mustain threw the INT against SC, Gus was the first one waiting for him on the sideline, and ripped him hard. It was indeed Nutt who decided to start Dick, but that's his job.

The HUNH hasn't been ran yet because this is still a developing offense. It's a componant that both Nutt AND Gus has said they're not ready to implement yet. They do practice it daily. And when it's time, and when they need it, it will be put in. And quiet frankly, they haven't needed it yet. Why show it?

Gus isn't going anywhere. The 220 plus yards passing against SC shows that Gus and this offense are one, and on the same page. I'm not saying it's never happened, but I can't remember a Houston Nutt offense passing the ball the way the Hogs did that night.

As far as MM crying because he was pulled, well, if he wants to leave because of that instead of working hard to get better, then let him become someone else's problem. However, I don't think that is the spirit of this kid. He'll work harder to get better.

Depends on how much he paid them I suppose. Otherwise whats wrong with it? Half the teams in Div 1 were recruiting Mustain.

This happens all the time, and the NCAA could care less. They are concerned about important things like offensive mascots and finding more creative ways to put Bama on probation.

It's all I hear all day.

Listen to Irwin in the morning, Chuck in the evening, co-workers, boosters etc..

That there's a couple of people leaving after the season:
Dick and Nutt
Muastain or Malzhan

I've never been around an area that fails to enjoy success like here in NWA.
