Ok, there are a lot of folks who aren't happy with The Program. It's easy to blame Coach Fulmer (and the other coaches as well, but as captain of this ship, it's Fulmer's head that's consistently on the chopping block) and lobby for his ouster. It's easy to blame the players, who some say aren't as good as teams in the past. It's even easy to blame the fans, who have become fickle and tend to take any loss personally. Fan apathy isn't apparent now, but I'm going to bet there are a lot of empty seats in Neyland next Saturday.
But what is the solution to all of this? Fire Fulmer? then what? Make Chavis head coach, Cutcliffe? I think if Fulmer goes, then the entire staff should go with him, that's what will happen anyway if UT is smart and looks outside UT for it's next coach.
Then what? expect SEC championships and National Titles as soon as the new coach is hired? not hardly. then you have to deal with recruits who don't want to play for the new coach(es) and they back out of their commitments, forcing UT to look at recruits passed over.
there is no easy way out of this. but the team can only play one game at a time.
