What's your favorite brand of tequila

Casamigos Reposado is good at a reasonable price point.

If you feel saucy, try Sotol, such as Desert Door. It's made from a different cactus and is much more flavorful.

Herradura Silver. Personally, I like the taste of good tequila that has not been aged. I generally take chilled.

I can never remember the brand I buy and don't recognize it in searches. But, I know what shelf it's on. So it must not make any ratings lists, however I always thought it was pretty good sipper for the money. I actually enjoy sipping Tequila. I just don't buy it often. I'm going to check out this Sotol Kiddiedoc mentioned. Sounds interesting.

However, the hispanic that works at the Indian liquor store is very high on Teramana by DWayne Johnson. And Casamigos is rated well for a smooth sipper at a good price point. It's a George Clooney interest/investment. Also Dulce Vida. For a budget blanco in the $25 range rated very well as a sipper there is Milagro silver.

depends on what you are shopping for. 100% pure agave brands will be only agave and the pricer drinks. Your budget stuff getting down to $40 or less may be mostly mixes that are around 50% agave.

Agree with the Casamigos recs. The Blanc, Reposado and Anejo are all good, I drink a lot of the Rep.

I also like these, they are certified organic.

Cazadores. Old Amigo that worked for me years ago turned me on to it. Never looked back. I like the Blanco but they make several varieties.

I'm partial to the Lunazul resposado.

Keep hornitos resposado on hand for bulk margaritas.

Espolon blanco for bulk silver Tequilla

I'll second this.

It also depends on how you're drinking it. For sipping neat, gotta go with a good añejo. I'm more of a scotch guy so I won't go too far into brands. Herradura was mentioned, good stuff, I've liked some of the popular brands like Patron as well.

But if you're making margaritas or other cocktails, don't waste an añejo on that. BUT-- a good reposado definitely improves a margarita, as opposed to a silver.

That's where i come in on Casadores. They make a good reposado that works great in a margarita but is a right decent sip served neat as well. And you can get a good deal on it at Costco. I often keep it around as a go-to for when I'm feeling for tequila.
