For all the NASCAR fans out there that have traveled to some of the tracks and seen some of the races in person, what is your favorite track? How many have you been to?

The only tracks that I've been to see a race are: Charlotte, Dover and Poconos.
I've seen the tracks at Phoenix, Darlington, Watkins Glen and Daytona. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the inside of the track at Bristol even though I've stopped by several times. Would have to visit more to get a better idea. I really enjoyed Charlotte and I think seeing a race at Daytona and Talladega are AWESOME!

I am partial to the smaller tracks..I just love the excitement and feel. I grew up outside of Bristol and I have been to ATLANTA, RICHMOND, MARTINSVILLE, ROCKINGHAM, CHARLOTTE, TALLADEGA, AND DARLINGTON. I honestly enjoyed everyone...Talladega was prolly was least favorite b/c it is like you see them for a split second, then u have to wait another 2 min...lol..I guess all and all you can tell I am a old Rusty Wallace Fan

my top 5:

1. Indianapolis- the size, the history, the mystique. there is no place like it. second to none.

2. Dega- just go.

3. Bristol- LOVE the night race. i have been there many times and never sat higher up than 20 rows. only way to see the race is down low.

4. Charlotte- only seen Indy Cars there. pretty cool place. better than...

5. Atlanta- again, only seen Indy Cars there.

i would like to go to Martinsville and Darlington.

I've found something to like about all of the tracks.

Most people for whatever reason don't like Michigan or California... I love that the cars can drive all over the track and they have room to pass and move the car around depending on the handling. Chicago and Kansas were pretty rough to watch there for a few years, but as those tracks have seasoned and the racing has gotten better, they're fun to watch a race on, too.

Love Daytona and Talladega, even if they slow them down. No more plates with the Car of Tomorrow, though. The racing is crazy.

Love the road courses, short tracks, and Darlington just to see the drivers hustle the cars around the track. Fun stuff.

Long story short, probably not a track that I wouldn't enjoy watching a race.

did yall hear about the major facelift to Vegas? They added TONS of banking to the track...It has something like 30 degrees of banking now...it will make it interesting!

30? Wow, I hadn't heard it was that much. Didn't they make it like Homestead, with the progressive banking?

They could just about go around there wide open if it was 30 degrees... Atlanta is only 24.

My favorites are Bristol, Martinsville, and Richmond. I favor the short tracks. My least favorites are Dega and Daytona. I'm not too fond of plate racing or super speedways. When I am at a race, I like to be able to see the whole track. At Dega and Daytona, the cars go by and you wait and wait and wait. Those are better to watch on TV. I haven't liked the road courses until recently. I am starting to enjoy those a little.

i went 2 yrs ago to the first dega race of the yr, and it was unbelieveable, i wish our seats were higher up we were bout 20 rows in front of the finish line, but we did get to go the the tent area before the race where u meet the drivers, and get to go out on pit road and stuff. very memorable first trip to dega. this yr me and my boys r campin there for the whole wkend, we will look like complete fools

Just to clarify, in my post I was speaking of watching races on TV. The only tracks I've watched races from live are the Nashville short track and the new (not so Super)Speedway outside of Nashville. I'd imagine I'd love watching a race from any seat at a track where you could see the whole track. It'd suck to be sitting so low or somewhere where you only saw the cars when they were right in front of you, like Indianapolis, at least on the front stretch.

Only been to Dega and Bristol, but those are the best anyway.

Dega is freaking crazy. The atmosphere is electric and drunkish. LOL. IF you are an Earnhardt fan you will have the time of your life.

Bristol is more family oriented, but the race is spectactular. The closer you are to the track the louder it is. You cant talk to whoever u go with until cautions. I have sit on the very front row at Bristol and i ate rubber all day long.

I've never been to a NEXTEL race, but went to a Busch race at Bristol couple years ago. Sat about 5 rows up at the end of turn 4 and it was great. It was the one on a monday becasue of rain and we were out of school becasue of the race traffic. I'll take it. Bristol is my favorite to be there or watch from TV.

1. Bristol - Action on every lap

2. Daytona - Nothing matches the excitement of the 500.

3. Talledega - Best infield party anywhere.

4. Lowe's Motor Speedway - Best 1.5 mile track.

5. Darlington - History and tradition.

6. Atlanta - Like the speed, hate the traffic after the race.

Back when CART was worth a crap, the races at Michigan were awesome -- 220mph + and multiple lead changes during a lap! The best line was---everywhere.

I've only seen races at Indy (Brickyard) and Dega.

I love Indy but it's not the best NASCAR track. Still, 400K people can't be wrong.

Dega is fun and you can see a lot considering how damn big it is.

Charolette is pretty cool if you stand next to the fence in the dog leg it almost blows you back to the first row.
