1. Rebounding?
2. Production from the guard spot?
3. Stopping Meeks?
4. Better defend dribble penetration?

I think if we score more points than UK we have a good chance.:)

I don't have a great technical knowledge of basketball, but I'd say if we don't give up another record-setting performance that would be a good start as well.

Defense and penetration. We don't seem to be capable of putting the two together consistently.

As for defending Kentucky, double team Meeks, prevent him from touching the ball.

As for UT. Stop making stupid fouls, don't turn the ball over, Rebound, defend, and we win easily.

Stopping Meeks would be my first thing. You do that, and keep tabs on Patterson, if he even plays today, and we'll be in good shape.

Well obviously stopping Meeks is going to be the huge priority even if it isn't. No team likes a guy when he's put up 50+ on them a few weeks prior. If I were Pearl, I'd start Brian Williams and tell him to knock Meeks to the ground the first couple of times he gets the ball.

The big thing I'd like to see is the free throw shooting improve drastically. Even though this team struggles in many areas, if they would have made more free throws in every game, they would have had a good chance to come away with the victory regardless.

I think another big question today is how does Patterson feel and will he play. Obviously with him off the floor, we'll have a tremendous advantage under the basket with Wayne and Tyler and we'll really be able to focus on Meeks.

Overall, I'd just like this team to display some sort of basketball IQ. If we're getting points under the basket, don't start launching 3's and getting away from it. (just one example)

He'll never do that. Williams is actually pretty soft for his position. Great potential, but needs to get over being scared of contact.

1. Patrick Patterson not playing.
2. Keep Meeks under 40.
3. Boxing out and rebounding.
4. Getting someone hot from 3.
5......JP Prince playing a good game. As JP goes, we'll go IMO. If he plays well, in control, drives, dishes, rebounds, and has 8-10 points, we can win. Repeat his performance at Ole Miss, we lose.

He also needs to stop taking the ball down low when he gets it under the basket. Does it almost every time.

Chism.

He did not show against Ole Miss.

They have to get some scoring out of the 1 and 2 spot.

If we would have held Meeks to 35 the first game, we would have won. We have to contain him, not stop him.

This is the most frustrating thing about this team for me. We will be owning down low with Chism, and Tatum launches an airball 3.

This falls squarely on CBP's shoulders. Take a damn TO and call them over to the bench and ask WTF are you doing???

You can bet your bottom dollar Clyde will if the roles are reversed.

The problem is...I think Pearl HAS done this. I think Pearl has done about all he knows to do, and this team still just doesn't "get it" sometimes.

Well what better way to get him over that contact issue than to run him out to the point like a bull and knock down Meeks a couple of times. Just for the record, I'm not hinting at injuring Meeks, just putting a couple of solid fouls on him. Although, maybe you're right, maybe Williams isn't the best person for that. Put in Pearl or Childress. I personally just want to see Williams pancake Meeks. :shades:

Dear God, not Stephen Pearl. I'd rather just keep Williams in there.
