check out the team picture from UTsports.com University of Tennessee Athletics: Men's Basketball. Notice who's missing?
Wow. Tough crowd. My only point was that this picture was obviously taken during the period that Kenny was suspended. Coach Martin didn't even let him be in the team picture or take a second one just in case he got back in good graces. Nothing else implied here.
Am I missing something?
This picture was obviously taken after midsession and during Kenny's suspension, why would he be in it? The picture was for the 2011-2012 team, thus the reason Cameron Tatum & Renaldo Woolridge are in the picture.
Kenny wasn't a part of the team at the time of the picture, why should he be in it?
Honestly I was surprised he wasn't in it. Thus why I started the thread. I guess other people are just more hard a$$ than I am.
Maybe I read too much into it. Or you guys are. Being suspended doesn't mean off the team it means suspended. Kenny was still a part of the team. Some coaches might have let Kenny be in the team picture or taken a second picture just in case. Either Martin did not, or something else prevented Hall from being in the team picture(unlikely). I just thought is pointed to Martin's discipline that when he says suspended he means suspended.
I also don't buy (another poster) that the picture means little to CCM. He was a player himself and can appreciate what being part of a team means, and being in the picture. I personally think this was a message to Kenny and I thought I would bring it up. Apparently I am the only one that saw it this way.
note: I find it highly unlikely that when Kenny was suspsended that he had absolutely no contact with the staff. I am sure he had regular meetings, tutoring, etc and probably even had to show up at the facilities while the team practiced. People seem to be confusing suspended with dismissed. And nothing ever implied Hall was dismissed from the team.
No, he wasn't at the facilities during practice. Whether or not he was at meetings, I don't know, but it was a full-on suspension with limited team contact. Actually, you could call it a temporary dismissal.
The picture was just something quickly done before a practice, mainly to include Jarnell. It was just bad timing that prevented Kenny from being it. It means nothing more.
A better subject of discussion would have been CCM's suspension of Hall compared to CDD's suspension handling of DaRick Rogers.
