Do they stay or go. I understand Bray and Patterson need to come back. However, playing for a new coach can be difficult as well. Any thoughts??

All three are gone unless we get a stud coach which I highly doubt happens. It sucks we had a horrible coach for probably the best QB/WR combos in the history of our program.

I think Hunter is gone regardless.

Patterson and Bray could both really use another year, but with the numbers Bray is putting up, on top of the fact that he may have to learn an entirely new system if he comes back, I think he goes. And as a result, I wouldn't be surprised if Patterson goes by default.

All I know is that Bray HATES the coaching staff, and I can't blame him. It's obvious in his body language everytime he leaves the field. You see it in the way he yells and screams at Dooley and glares at him. I've seen people post that "Bray needs to shut up" and things of the like, but why should he? He is a strong armed QB with 2 of the best WR's in the NCAA yet his coaching staff lets him down time and time again. You'd be pissed at the coaching staff too, if you knew you had to go out, play perfect, and score 50 points every week just to have a chance to win.

Hunter is gonna go no matter what happens with the coaching staff. He's projected as the #1 WR and is most likely a 1st rounder so he has millions of reasons to go and almost no reasons to stay.
From what Ainge was hinting at CP has to go and i'm guessing it has to do with that rumor about his grades. Thats the only reason I can think of that would leave him eligible to be playing now but he wouldn't be eligible next year.
Bray on the other hand I would say depends on who the new coach is gonna be. If Dooley stays I would say he's gone. Why stay and risk losing even more stock by playing on a poorly coached team where the coach is quick to throw you under the bus. If we get a good coach then he could benefit greatly but if we get another up and comer or coordinator then he would be better off not taking the chance.

So with that said I think all 3 are gone and it really doesn't have anything to do with Dooley or a coaching change.

I'd say if DD returns, then they are all gone. And if DD goes, they are all gone.
Patterson would do so amazing at the combine, it will propel him into the 1st round. Bray will go in the 2nd. Just a darn shame that these guys were stuck here under this regime.

Just a mediocre D would have resulted in wins againt SC, UF, Mizzou and UGA. At worse three of those.

If they quickly announce that the have hired Gruden then they will all at least consider coming back for their senior years.

Don't know about UF, but definitely Miss. State.

I think it all depends upon the OC. A new OC with a new system may cause some players to leave, including Bray. Even if Bray does not like the coaching now, he may not want to learn a new system his sr year.

It all depends on who you ask and how much salt you take with your rumors. I have a good friend that frequently dines with the Bray family while in town. Bray has said to him and I quote "Anyone that can go is as good as gone". I dont follow UT football as close as everyone else here (obviously because Im not a UT football fan) but that tells me Bray is saying himself, Hunter and Patterson are all adios.
