There won't be any questions about it!
When we get to the top all season long..there won't be any questions about strength of schedule.
When we get top, we won't show up like ND did last year.
When we get there, there wont be much luck involved.
When we get there, it will be the Tennessee route, the honest route, the well deserved route, and the hard fought route.
Make no mistake! This will happen,no doubt! Go vols

Thanks for the "Sunshine" on such a dreary, snowy day..

And...although I don't believe in "luck"...I do believe in destiny...and The Barn certainly (and unfortunately) has had destiny on their side this year...

I would say they have the advantage in the Championship Game...

And...if we DO get back to that level...we will look back on the current state of our Program with understanding...maybe.

But currently...we could be beat by just about anyone at this point...

Here's to the offseason where we can go 13-0 EVERYDAY! Cheers!

This is why I would rather be a Tennessee fan than an Ohio State fan. You get no respect every game you play. If you do play a big name team, you usually lose and obviously the respect level continues to drop. People up here are saying "we can't help our schedule" "we're still osu" "24 of 25 is still great." They really just don't get it. At least Tennessee is respected for being in a big conference. Even though we stink right now, people with a brain know we'll be back. Go vols! I'm enjoying this state crumbling right now!

Excellent post OP! I wish all Vol fans looked at it this way. I know I do. Of course I am sure there will be negavols that will use the stupid "sunshine pumper" for this post. The ones that do are just idiots. Go Vols!

As I remember it, ND forgot to show up last year.

If they don't buy out OU we're starting out in the hole next year. If we don't make a bowl game next year I don't see how the recruiting can be sustained.

There's always luck involved in getting there. The name Stoerner mean anything to you?

1998, for sure. We got a gift and lucky late in the season.
My point in the thread I started( in a sea of negative)..
was... We are Tennessee.
Akward post, it comes from a Fan of Vol Football. win or loose.

If osu had beaten msu they would be playing for the NC despite their easy schedule. It was great to see oscar meyer weiner get his just desert. That douche thinks he can still recruit the south.

A whole lot can happen off season. It's not outside the realm of possibility that Saban could pull an Urbie and skip this conference for bigger bucks and a better shot at more NC's--heading to Austin w/Kirby in tow. Butch's upcoming crop of legends could provide an ample stable of winners for UT's potential powerhouse; with or even without misfortune hitting Tuscaloosa. Muschamp isn't working out so well, Spurrier's gotta' retire soon and the rest of the SEC east is winnable (No. Im not forgetting dawgs and tigers and commodes. Kittens? Please). Many of us are justafiably optimistic with such a group suiting up in 2014.

Better shot? Where have you been the past 6 seasons?

2008- Played UF for a spot in the BCSCG
2009- Won BCSCG
2010- "Down year"
2011- Won BCSCG
2012- Won BCSCG
2013- Lost to AU after time expired.

I'd say he's doing OK at Bama.

It was luck.

We played well enough to go undefeated and beat a good FSU team. We were deserving of the first BCSNC in 98. What people forget is that Fulmer recruited a top 5 class year after year and we were loaded with talent. When Stoener gifted us the ball we still had to score and we flat drove it down Arkansas' throat. Even when we had a bad day we still won (Syracuse). Like a Championship Team. FSU is again back in the big dance and we will be as well soon.

That wasn't luck. That was a QB who made a bad play.

And we still had to score. The offense struggled the whole game but ran the ball down Arky's throat when they had the opportunity.

Luck, how about bammer playing for a NC while not even playing in the SECCG or LSU winning the NC with 2 regular season losses.

I don't know if you can call that luck but I will take '98 and all the interesting plays and a perfect record than LSU's "NC" with a 2 loss season.
