Just when everybody thinks that Little Kiffy has grown up, the true Lane reappears.

I disagree. He made a fun comment showing confidence in his team. And when he got beat, he owned up to it, and even joked at himself for the comment.

You can say what you want, but Lane is good for the game of college football, just like Steve Spurrier and Mike Leach is.

I guarantee you were one who loved when he said we were going to sing Rocky Top all night long after beating Florida in the swamp.

I appreciate a coach who has confidence in his team. Lane can be brash and a lot sometime, but he is SO much more of a breath of fresh air than the "coach speak" guys that literally say the same boring thing and show no emotion ever.

Sports are entertainment. Lane is entertaining. And he happens to be a pretty solid coach who plays an entertaining style of football.

I may be in the minority. But I like the guy. And I don't fault him for what happened here.

That’s cool but we’re tired of some folks forcing him on us like he’s a god.

I like the coach we have without all the stupid immature drama.

I agree, but I'm glad we have the coach we have......

At one point, I was desperate enough to want him hired, but now...not so much. Same with Heupel. Hated his hire at first. Now I've certainly warmed up to him. Seeing how the players respond to him and his staff has me questioning one thing only. Can he recruit to the level needed to challenge in the east of the SEC. Not gonna get the answer this year, but here's hoping the 2023 class is the start of a nice recruiting run. I'll be curious to see the types of players he want for his system. Guess I should try and find some UCF games on youtube.

The product on the field will draw the talent, unlike with our previous 3 coaches.

Yes! I’d a lot rather hear Leach talk about Halloween candy, than another boring interview full of meaningless, generic coach-speak. He’d be a fun dude to spend an afternoon fishing with or watching a game to see what kind of random thoughts he comes out with.

I don’t fault him for leaving for USC. I fault him for WHEN he left. There were no name coaches left to even look at and we get stuck with Doofus the Shower King. No excuse for the timing. Sometimes there are things you just don’t do.

USC opened up like a week before he took the job.

Can't agree more that there are things which you just don't do. Leaving your team for another job a few days before NSD is one of them.

In terms of Dooley, well honestly that one is on Hamilton. When it became obvious nobody worth having was going to take the gig, the wiser move would have been to get somebody-anybody on an interim basis. One bad year in recruiting can be fixed pretty quickly, but with Dooley we basically had three years of crap. Hard to recover from that. By the time Dooley got canned, our stock was already cratering and Botch was the best we could do.
