Can they use points of reference for different angle?

Yo me doing this can help you figure more out or do they have to look at each view as stand alone?

In case you don't know what I mean by a point of reference. Say they are looking at an angle to see if the ball carrier crossed the goal-line before he was down.

Angle 1 you can see his arm/forearm is not down, but you can't see his knee

Angle 2 you can see the knee is down but you can't see where the ball is.

So you look at angle 1 at the exact frame that you see something unique. Then look at angle 2 to get to that exact point. Then you could judge where his knee was when the ball went down.

Are refs allowed to do this?

Wondered the same thing. I'm assuming you're talking about the Vandy-SC game. To me, that was an easy call if you can use both shots at one time.

I was listening to Rocky Goode earlier this week and he revealed that replay officials have access to additional angles we have at home. So I would assume they can use points of reference.

My understanding was they do. My faith in that was shaken last week in OK.
