Whenever that is, be it weeks or years, and the Bama bandwagoners inevitably start trying to sneak back in the fold and pass themselves as Vols fans - will we welcome them or spurn them?

Saban retires.

All the Bammers in Nashville: I’ve had a change of heart.
Can’t happen soon enough. I get wanting to beat the best, but I’m very ready to see how the Bama fanbase handles losing Saban. The portal means all their 5 stars can jump ship so they might not have the cupboards full feel they would have felt if Saban had retired before the portal.

Loyalty should be rewarded. And disloyalty called out.

But if they avoided being obnoxiously noticeable while they were Bama fans, and can quietly sneak onto the Volunteer bandwagon without anyone the wiser, then sure. Welcome aboard, you sudden new Vols fans.

Go Vols!

I will relish their downfall, but it would be nice to see both UT and Bama up for a few years. It’s been a long time in the wilderness for us but it’s been even longer for the rivalry, because they sucked for 15 years before we fell off. Also, I want us to get Saban a few times before he retires, not just one.

A lot of the Alabama band wagon fans in Tennessee will just jump to the next dynasty whether it be Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, etc.

A lot of them were cheering for Florida or other teams in the 1990s. A lot of them chose Alabama mostly because they don't like Tennessee so I doubt they become Tennessee fans.
