UT hire an OL coach that teaches our guys how to legally hold?

This is not particularly a complaint about what UGA is getting away with. I would like some serious answers about why you think UT does such a poor job of grabbing when they block. This one thing would make a huge difference in everything UT is doing or struggling with right now.

Because there is no "legal" hold?

Play calling has been horrible. 3 and 5 and we think we are going to run for a first down?

You may be right with a very literal reading of the rule book.... but you don't have to watch more than one series in any college football game to know that in practice there IS such a thing as a "legal" hold. If the official looks right at it and doesn't throw the flag... its legal.

I believe you are allowed to grab the jersey and hold on to a Dlinemen in front of you as long as your hands are within the frame of his shoulders. In the chest area where the numbers are for lack of a better term. Its when the player starts to get around you and you are still holding on that they call a penalty...could be wrong not certain about how they call it in college.

You are probably right... but UGA is getting away with much more than that and so did OU.

No...when will these coaches realize we have the talent to play with these guys and open up the playbook both offensively and defensively?

Maybe I am partial but it looks to me like our DE get held on every play.

I think it was Brent Hubbs who after the OU game said that if Barnett was not a freshman he probably would have gotten a few holding calls. I think that is BS and hope the refs do not call it that way as a hold is hold to me.

Maybe they're holding something back for the 2nd half? I would.

If you remember, Jones did last year. He gameplanned to stay into for the first half then try to win it in the 2nd. IMO, it was the best coached game UT had last year including USCe.
