I know everyone is mad about the BCS, but this is great for us.

We can catch everyone off guard. Maybe even play as an underdog against LSU and possibly Arky.

Keep creeping up the BCS.

I see it this way. Cal or USC one will lose. Michigan or OHIO St. must lose. West Virginia or Louisville must lose. ND will lose to USC.Florida and Auburn will probably meet again in the SEC cham game.

So that leaves us right around 5. If we win out, we will go higher in the polls also. So that puts us right around 3. Right??

So if we win out and everything falls into place, there is no way on earth they leave us out. No way.
Just a thought.

I know what you mean, and we have plenty of time to jump others, but doubt we will catch anyone off guard. Soon enough, people will talk about us getting screwed unless of course, we lose. I agree, rising in the polls is fun. :dance2:

Our defense needs to improve though to win out. that is for sure.

Yeah D is a little shaky. But our O-line has improved big time since Florida.

Might not catch off guard, but we are obviouly being overlooked. I think there is a very good chance we win out though. I think Erik is in one of those zones and to beat us right now would take a really good game by an opponent.

I know, I am just worried we are going to be like ND last year. There are a lot of similarities when you think about it between us and them.

Coming off a bad year. A new coach revitalizes the offense. A good QB. Great Passing. Shaky defense. A tough loss to a rival at home. Of course the last one means nothing, but I don't want to experience a ND like fiesta bowl when we are completely overrun on defense.

You had me up until right there. We joke about it all the time, but hear me now and believe me later . . . There is no team on planet Earth that consistently plays better as the underdog. If they did, they would either stop being the underdog or Vegas would go broke.

True but it is possible we will be underdogs against LSU>

I don't think we are where we want at this point. We could still end up being the loser of WVU/UL, OSU/UM, and USC if they lose to ND or Cal.

the way things are worked out, we won't jump USC if Cal beats them. there is a lovefest for all things non-sec. we aren't going to jump notre dame or texas. if that happens and everyone else wins out, here you go....

cal
usc(at large)
nd(at large)
texas
ohio st(loser of osu/mich at large)
michigan
acc champ
sec champ
big east champ
boise st(at large)

that could potentially be how it works out unfortunately. despite us obviously being better than half of those teams and more deservant. it doesn't matter.

Nah. The loser of the SECCG will get an at large. If Cal beats USC, the loser of USC/ND will miss out. If Cal loses to USC, they will miss out.

I agree, no chance LSU would be favored. They kill the weaker teams but turn schizo against the good teams(Auburn, Florida). Miles can't coach against a good team for some reason.
