Just thought I would post and ask the question, Where all the UGA fans that are always invading our board... I thought ya'll said you were gonna win the east and drill UT and be loaded and have a great new defensive coach... Guess you were just mistaken.

We (UT) are young and have had very little bragging by our posters of the year to come. You guys on the other hand have been talkin' shat all summer.

News flash, UGA sucks and if for not a brief momentum swing in the last quarter against Arky it would even be more obvious. Once again I ask WHERE YA'LL AT????
LMAO Go big Orange...

They are just now beginning to realize they have Phil Fulmer walking the sidelines.

Great concept... lets make fun of other teams (and fans) that are struggling in order to make ourselves feel better.

We're not making fun. We have warned the Georgia fans what was happening to them. Its like Alzheimer's - the family is the last to notice something is bad wrong. You can be mired in mediocrity, have a Good Ole Boys Club keeping the head coach in power and can't see it. Someone else outside the university can see it plain as day, though.

How does cheering for both Tennessee and Georgia work?

Odd.

Well, it's starts with cheering for your favorite team. And as long as they're not playing each other, you can also cheer for your 2nd favorite team. Simple enough???

Maybe I misunderstood, but the OP is claiming a bunch of UGA trolls keep visiting VN and making preposterous statements. I guess I just haven't seen 'em.

No.

I would never cheer for two teams let alone rivals. Barring growing up a fan of one and attending another, makes no sense to me.

There is nothing special about watching your team win when you cheer for multiple teams. It raises the odds significantly. Simple enough?

Yep... got it. So what you're saying is that you love your mother but couldn't care less about your father since you are only capable of showing affection to a single entity.

Wow, I think you totally missed IBlvNTmWrk's original point and unfortunately I don't think you're capable of getting it...

You never cease to amaze...

In the grand scheme of things, one person who cheers for Georgia doesn't make a difference.

However, realize that the worse Georgia is, the better it is for Tennessee. Georgia competes for many of the same players we recruit. Tennessee did a very good job of pulling players from Georgia until Richt got there and started keeping more in state talent.

Poor performance on the field, turmoil within the program, and eventually a turnover in coaching staff at Georgia gives Tennessee a better chance at pulling the talent out of there. This is especially true with Dooley and his desire to recruit that state.

Completely understand and agree with the bottom portion of your post, but if you're suggesting that a single fan (or numerous fans for that matter) who enjoy watching college football on TV and cheer for one team over the other has ANYTHING to do with how the team performs and therefore how they also recruit, I guess I'm just a little skeptical.

On the other hand, based on the same principle... as many of us who would prefer that USC lose every game they play, logic would suggest that they will not perform well and therefore recruiting will be horrendous. Maybe it's not such a bad theory? :)

The only one I ever really noticed was Superdawg. He never shows up until UT has bad press of some sort.

I totally understand.

During the cold war, I was a fan of NATO, but my second favorite side was the Warsaw Pact.

In case of war, I was covered

It is hard for me to rip another team when UT is right there at the bottom with them.

Sure, there expectations where higher so they fell further, but it makes no difference.

And living up to low expectations is gag inducing in itself.
