the grandstand on the backstretch at Atlanta go? i had never noticed that it was gone. is that something new?

that was basically the only thing remaining from the old configuration.

that didn't even cross my mind. that would make total sense. or atleast the best explanation so far.

i wonder what it costs to park your RV on that bank for the weekend.

Not that that grandstand was missed, judging by the amount of empty seats on the front stretch.

after seeing that, i'm dissapointed i didn't go down there. that was sad. real sad.

the worst thing is, NASCAR still wants to enter all these new markets yet is having a hard time selling out their solid markets.

Bristol is the only track I can think of that has absolutely no problem selling out. You never see commercials about ticket availability to the Cup races there.

Martinsville would be the only other one i can think of. maybe i'm not looking hard enough, but i don't see too many of them.

maybe Darlington now that they only have one race.

Nascar has its head in the clouds. They are too interested in going to new venues. I have no problem with moving in to new markets, but imo they seem to get focused on the destination and forget their current location

After the tornado, they had to demolish the Weaver and Ford grandstands on the backstretch, but they added a new grandstand on the frontstretch.

it was about time that old section came down anyway. the one time i sat there i was worried that if i breathed heavy, the whole thing would collapse.
