I would rather have a loss from Pitt than Oakland.
I'm thinking all the way down to 19.

Whitelaw will drop us out of his top 25, grinning like a fat kid that found a chip in the couch.

curious why people put so much stock into polls when it comes to basketball? i think polls are ridiculous before Jan.

I think there's alot of the fanbase that's fairly new to basketball still, so while in part it's bragging rights, I get the feeling there's a fair number who just treat it the same as they do football polls

I was thinkin about that but I would rather have that Pitt win in our back pocket come selection saturday... Oakland is better that the 05 Santa Clara team if I remember correctly so it's not a crippling loss

And I say we drop back to 13

We'll probably end up around 20th. Aside from Louisville who's going to drop out altogether, I doubt anybody else in the top 25 play as poorly or suffer as embarrassing a loss as we do this week. Still it's early and there's plenty of time to make up ground, plus the polls don't matter that much anyways.

Why does it matter?Id be more concerned about the RPI hit they might get...follow it up with a good win at Charlotte and most will be forgotten..
