Where do we go from here?

With Thomas now safely with Memphis, as expected, who is left that we can realistically sign for next season. With the inability of our coaches to recruit off campus and NCAA sanctions lingering over the program, could we end up with no other recruits? Your thoughts.

Somebody said this in a previous thread and I agree. We really need to go after a center to replace Williams. Kenny Hall and Maymon are our only PF's who should return next season. If we can't recruit one, we will have to look at possible transfers.

We should return a pretty strong core at the remaining positions, and Jones and Ware should be the answers we've been looking for at PG.

I wish I was more, "in the know" as far as who is left that we have a realistic shot at landing. I think that the telling tale is going to be what comes of the LOA in Dec. I wouldn't expect to sign anyone other than Jones and Ware in the early signing period though.

I agree. I was hoping someone who is much more in the know than I am would provide some insight into our chances for signing a post player who can contribute next season.

We'll need a big guy in a bad way. We'll see if Pearl and staff can land a quality one while being on probation.

I think its more important for the team to show potential recruits that you can still maintain some stability throughout the investigation. Its very hard under the current circumstances for you all to recruit so winning a lot of big games will do more than anything at this point. Cal never signed players in the early signing period here at memphis for what its worth.

With the inability to recruit off campus and the pending NCAA sanctions, I fear that we will have little success recruiting elite players to our program.

I've gone through the Rivals top 150 and there are no elite big men left who aren't committed to another school. Looks as if we sign a post player it will be a project who we hope can help us at some point. I'm concerned that we are going to be in trouble with Hall who hasn't developed as much as we would hope for.

Lots of things can change between now and then. Coaching terminations, coach goes to different school, etc. Never count out a spring signee from Bruce Pearl.

Seriously??

a transfer seems about the only option at this point. what's the JC circuit look like? is there a site that rates them?
