Maybe someone already has created a similar thread. Please, no bashing - you can create another thread to do that.

I'm curious where posters on here get most of their news and am open to new sources. What are your primary (5 or so) sources? General news, not sports-specific. Appreciated.

I'll offer mine:

-NPR
-The Economist
-News and Observer (local paper)
-The New Yorker
-Huffington Post
-Occasionally, MSNBC and CNN

Various places:

NPR
Townhall.com
Fox News

NPR does not flow my way, but I like to listen to how other people are thinking.

Fox News, talk radio, websites like Drudge...

To hear the other side, basically any of the major networks or CNN and MSNBC.

NPR
drudge
that's pretty much it. I don't agree with some of what I hear on npr, dianne rheam (sp?) but I still listen because it's intelligent half the time. To me, it's about a million times better than the other talk radio out there.

When I'm feeling masochistic I'll tune in to MSNBC as long as it's not Mathews or Olbermann.

I don't keep on top of it much anymore so Drudge and the Daily Press (local paper) are pretty much it. I scan the KNS and AZCentral.com for names/places I might recognize. CNN occasionally but most bigger stories still make it to drudge.

I also watch the history channel because it seems everything is coming back around :p

I really enjoy BusinessWeek. I also stumbled upon a Libertarian periodical called Reason. I plan on starting my subscription this month.

I usually spend my mornings before the office opens scanning over Google news, so I guess mine comes from several places.

Have you seen The Week magazine? Basically it's summaries of the past week's top stories and how different media outlets covered them.
