Where does everyone think we'll be on tomorrows polls

Im personally hoping we might crack top 15.....but realistically prob 17-18

I think Miami and Cal were the only teams ranked ahead of us that lost. I doubt we'll manage to leap either of them. Miami barely lost to a team that was ranked about even with them, so they probably won't drop much. Cal will drop a lot, since they got drilled, but not all the way down to our level.

cal lost and i have been on this DANG comp so didnt see the end of miami-fsu, then all other teams played weak tune-ups so i think just cal and whatever happened between miami-fsu

I think Cal falls to around #20 and we move up to around 18 or 19.

I would've put the Vols ahead of the loser of tonight's game had it been a blow out one way or the other... but it wasn't.

Just inside the top 20 would be my guess.

My guess is that UT ends up 15-18. However, I will ,for the 1,877,999th time, say there should be no polls before mid-October.

I agree 100%. The polls in the first 4 or 5 weeks are useless.

Man, I agree with hatvol again. I have agreed with just about everything he has posted today. :p

The very possibility that a team like Cal could end up ranked ahead of us is reason enough to deem polls during September completely invalid.

Cal will drop 5-6 spots and UT will move up that many.

Cal #15
UT #17

So you really think that we will still be ranked lower than Cal? I could see that happening if it was a close game.

we could very well become the new media darling and make a 10 place leap in the AP poll, honestly i think probably more like 15-17 in that one, i agree with hat on his placement and that polls before october suck.

as for the USA Today, 17 seems like a lock, no higher no lower. Cal drops to 18 in the AP and 20 in the USA Today. Bank on it

Yeah it is going to be hard to move up the line when only two people ahead of you got out. I think because Cal was so high up there, and we, well....weren’t, they are still going to be ranked above us.

i dont think the voters have the audacity to keep cal ranked above us, then again i have seen them do some stupid things before.

Had this game been a non-nationally televised game, I think Cal would probably stay ranked ahead of the Vols. Since it was and those who watched saw that the game was a blowout, I see UT being ranked about 16 or 17 and Cal right behind them.

At this point I don't care about the ranking. Just keep winning and the rankings will be sorted out. Just for giggles though I'm guessing #17 in the AP and #15 in USA Today.
