There was a time, roughly a decade, (1992-2001) where the championship of the SEC East went through this game. Many memorable games during that stretch and some before and since. I think clearly the rivalry would rank below:

UT-Bama, Bama-Aub and Aub-UGA, but everything else is up for reasonable debate.

Not in the top 5. Too one-sided for that and not enough games played. Id put Bama LSU and the egg bowl above it in additon to the ones you named. And UGA vs UF
Not sure I can get behind The Egg Bowl, that rarely matters outside of the State of Mississippi, the other two possibly though Bama-LSU is pretty one sided, and UGA/UF, UF sucked before 1990 and we've probably played as many consequential games since then against UF as UGA, but I guess the sheer number of times those two have played might nose us out.

I have to say that playing the cocktail party in the Jags stadium kills the vibe of that game. I know it’s traditionally played there but there’s no soul to these NFL stadiums and they don’t get loud. It’d be way more intense if it was played on campus.
Out of curiosity have you ever been? It's got an interesting vibe all around, it feels like a bowl game. A bowl game where everyone gets as drunk as they can.

No, i would like to. I’m sure it’s better in person. I can only go by what it’s like watching on TV. Nothing “pops” about it. Just seems kindof boring played at a neutral site NFL stadium with a neutral 50/50 crowd. I still think its an important rivalry and game obviously with a lot of history.

A judge I clerked for many moons ago was a UGA fan and when I passed the bar he offered me one of their tickets so I went down there with he and his family. It was a pretty wild atmosphere outside the stadium. I see why the fanbases are reluctant to give it up, but the in game experience is not as intense as visiting an opponent's home stadium.

Texas Oklahoma and Texas Texas am will soon surpass it. I feel like it’s above Florida Georgia but below the Egg Bowl; in state helps a lot to me.
I’d have it before several other rivalries if we’re counting rivalries between one SEC team and an out of conference team

I have made this comparison previously and will do so again.

The Steelers-browns is a rivalry. Just because it’s been one side doesn’t matter.

The patriots-colts was nice while Brady was in New England and manning was in Indianapolis. But, now that they are gone, it’s not a rivalry

I wish it was roughly a decade ago.

Depends if you're talking historically (last 50 years) or now. Historically, I would fall in line with several others on here who have this list, although perhaps in a different order. You can tell they're important when you know who's playing by the name. :)

Iron Bowl (Bama v Auburn)
3rd Saturday in October (Bama v Vols)
Cocktail Party (UGA v Gators)
Deep South's Oldest Rivalry (UGA v Auburn)
First Saturday in November (LSU v Bama)

I’ve been to the game, and this similar to my experience. IMO, the stadium isn’t the issue, the 50-50 crowd is the issue (which I think you are getting at in your post).

Kills it for who?
