Right now we are 6-0, aside from a tough game next week at OK St. we are all but assured at being 10-0 before ever opening SEC play. Where does everyone think this will end, since a 10-7 SEC record could potentially give us a 20 win season. Can we make a dent in the tourney?

Saying worst comes to worst and we lose to Oak. State I see us 9-1 heading into SEC play. Then if we stay at this level I can see us going around 19-8 give or take a few either way. That should put us in the Big Dance.

Memphis will be a tough game but it's not until mid January after the SEC season starts. Maybe he is counting that as a loss.

I wouldn't count memphis as a loss,Coach Cal is a great recruiter but average coach,He has had all kinds of Talent at memphis but always messes it up,The fans down here in memphis think of Cal the way alot of Vol fans think of Fulmer Great recruiter so so coach & i agree!

i think we will do better than 10-7 in the sec.. watson and lofton have been getting alot of rest so far and with our bench playing the way they are i think sec play maybe 13-4.

Considering this is going to be the same OK St. team that lost at home against "southland jugernaut" Northwestern St. I am not overly worried. After that we have only 5 games against top 25 teams the rest of the year.

Everyone needs to calm down. The realistic view is 13-15 wins for this team still anymore than that is icing on the cake. The grind of the SEC season and being shorthanded will eventually catch-up with this team.

The team plays hard and with spirit, they are coached very well. 6-10 will be a very good record in SEC play for this team

Guess im still a bit too high off of yesterdays Texas'who win. I was in my barber shop listening to it. Many Ut fans all just dissing away at its a fluke, we suck azz etc..A local asst coach/ asst cling on, a 3 year JV starter all continue to rap about why Dookie will still be the #1 seed in the final 4. :disappointed:

The fact that we don't have a lot of depth doesn't mean that we will lose down the stretch...Georgia won a lot of games in 2003 when they played 7 guys, they also swept Kentucky.
We are gonna win more than 6 in SEC..8-8 is a good mark.
We are gonna win more than 13-15 games...you need to look at the schedule my friend.

If we can keep playing like we are right now we could serouisly be a sleeper in the SEC. UK is not playing good ball at all right now and it'll be awhile before they get Morris back and into the flow. Florida looks like the team to beat right now. Not sure what to think of Bama after they got thumped at home by the Irish.Arkansas and LSU is good but very beatable. Oustide of the Gators right now there is no sure bet guranteed loss, we should have a shot each nite.

Besting the coach here will be harder than besting the players on the floor, Eddie Sutton is a cagy old rooster.

I hear where you are coming from, I too get excited about this year. I just hope we are not getting too excited. Sure I want the players to have all the confidence that is possible, they are going to need it. I still see us with some tough games. The SEC is a bear of a conference and its tough to go to any ones place and come out with a win. I hope also that the players don't get the bighead and start thinking they are better than they really are. I believe Coach Pearl will probably be able to keep that under control. AS FOR NOW: I have nothing but highest praise and appreciation for 6 great games of basketball and I continue to look for great things from this team. :twocents:
