For at least the past 6 recruiting cycles, Georgia has been Tennessee’s biggest pipeline for talent, with 36 signees from GA compared to 34 from its own state (132 total signed). Alabama and North Carolina are two other states the Vols have leaned into, with Florida serving as another feeder, though Tennessee didn’t sign a player from FL last cycle. The state of Tennessee ranks 11th nationally and sixth in the SEC footprint for producing Power 5 signees during the last six years. The Vols have signed nine of the 45 blue-chip prospects from the state since 2020.

Nice stats!
Need to see California added more to that ratio over the next 6 years and beyond

This is shocking to me but awesome to hear of the development of Tennessee high school football.

Yeah. It's upper league in producing talent.

Georgia is getting ridiculous.
But Alabama and Tennessee are easily on Ohio's level in regards to HS football talent.

The state just keeps growing. Tennessee passed Massachusetts last year in population and is now the 15th most populous state in the US, with 7M people. Having a pro football team in the biggest hotbed for talent has to help, too.
