I noticed that Pickett was back with DY on kick off returns. Anyone know why Evan Berry wasn't back there? Also, I like DY's first burst of speed, but he always seems to go down into turtle mode as soon as he gets touched by a defender.
I agree with you on DY. Prepare to be blasted by the "you shouldn't criticize a Vol" crowd.
Probably want to take this one up with Butch...since he's in charge of those decisions?...maybe he's saving the more explosive option to unveil in a big game...or he's a CATCH THE BALL AND DON'T FUMBLE snob? :dunno:
He will house one this year bearing injuries. Count on it.Before this season I was very excited to see our new and improved return game. After Game 1, I think as a Tennessee fan we are just going to have to accept that we will not be a threat in that department. Devrin is the safe bet. He catches, he doesn't fumble, and he gets you to the 20. That's pretty much all he does, and all he's going to do. We got a bit spoiled by CP but I don't think Butch is willing to take that kind of risk with our explosive playmakers like VP. Devrin is fast but he doesn't make people miss, so I highly doubt he's ever going to house one.
Is what it is I guess.
