I haven't been paying that much attention to the draft but there's no news on here about him. Anyone think he might feel a little foolish right now?

All I know is that I wish he would've stayed for one more year. Neither the Vols or Smith got a good deal for leaving early.

I'd say it's 50/50 that he gets picked up.

Yeah, he's probably wishing he would have stayed around. IMO, as an offensive guard, you don't declare early unless you KNOW you're one of the top 10-15 guards in the country. They just don't get picked up like that.

Obviously a big mistake going early. probably wont get drafted. He let his emotions get the best of him, it seemed like a rash decision not well thought out.

I don't have any ill will towarsd the guy. I think it really is a bad situation for both sides. We lose a our second best linwman and he possibly doesn't get drafted.

Yep, it's definitely a Homer Simpson "DOH" moment...

AMAZING toenia is projected to go ahead of rob smith

after what happened last year to munoz, going undrafted, you would have thought r. smith would have known better then to go early.

St. Louis just took two guards, one from Minnesota the other from Missouri. Any team looking to pick up a guard late has to be looking at Smith now.

I thought Rob was the ironman, the guy that never missed a game. I don't understand him being called a crybaby. :dunno:

I forgot about Hall. Did he leave early or was he a senior? I can't remember and I don't feel like looking it up.

i think he was a senior. i thought he would be the best pro. probably had the best year out of the d-linemen last year.

i hope he gets piceked up.

I'm sure there's a place for him somewhere. He'll just have to earn a little more than the others.

This needs to be added about Rob Smith. He did redhsirt as a freshmen I beleive. So he was at UT 4 years and possibly got a degree. Not nearly as bad off as Tony McDaniel. Still obviously a mistake going early.

Rob Smith did make a big mistake. He was upset that Jimmy Ray Stephens got fired, and showed loyalty to his position coach instead of his team. I think it'll be tough for him to make a squad as a FA. He might possibly be a NFL Europe project.

As for Tony McDaniel, he left to go make some dough to pay for his legal troubles. I guess that he felt like his back was against the wall. Kids let this be a reminder to not knock the **** out of somebody when you get fouled playing pick up basketball. The sad thing is now, by coming out early, he's probably put himself in a even worse situation.
