I found it interesting that this team still has to be told where to be and what to do. Bruce said that they cannot think on their own, and unless he calls a timeout and sets them up they have no clue what they are doing. I'm not really sure what to think of this because even poorly coached teams usually know what the hell they are running with 2 games left in the season. Are our players really this dumb, led by Goins at the PG? Outside of Harris, it is not like Brian, Scotty, Cam, and Melvin are learning a new offense. It is so frustrating to see Scotty taking over, and then Goins not even getting him the ball on two straight possessions in the closing minutes and instead shooting a bad three and driving into traffic. There are a lot of problems associated with this team, but sometimes I just ask myself are they really this dumb. I have no clue what the thought process of some of these players are sometimes.

I think Pearl has lost this team. There was one point in the game when every time down the floor the Vols threw up 3 pointers every time. No set plays just get past center court and heave it at the rim.

As much as I hate that TN looks bad, I find everything about this season hilarious. Bruce is proving that everything I've said about him, since day one, to be true. Great recruiter and promoter, but is a liar, cheat, snake in the grass, and a bad X's & O's coach. People have been blinded by him and his public personality for too long, but are finally seeing him for what he is. He's our Lane Kiffin, oh wait, we already had him too. Part ways with this guy before it gets worse.....and get rid of Hammy too.

Pretty easy to pile that on the players. Wonder if Ravern Johnson standing around side open was a lost player problem.

I couldn't agree more. I watched Pearl during that span too. He would just throw his hands up and yell. Then they'd launch another 25 footer 5 seconds into the shot clock on the next possession.

Goins is a huge part of the lack of mental toughness with this team....what capacity he has to think, decays exponentially over the last 2 mins of a game.

I certainly put some of the blame on the players, especially a lot of the lack of execution offensively. But in the end of the day, it all goes back to the coaches. If you want to talk about players' basketball IQ, you can talk about subpar recruiting.
