where's that cat that said the ink was dry on the cotract? I guess the contract was SOS's contract extension. :lolabove:

Also how about OJ Simpson as the next Bama coach?

Good job Bill.

i've been anxiously awaiting tusk's announcement. of course, he also mentions it was part of a covert cover up scheme he was involved in that is part of luring and securing saban. it was like he realized he shot himself in his left foot, so to compensate he shot himself in his right foot as well.

Poor ole Tusk..."the big insider"....You might want to fire your "source" :birgits_giggle: . Bama always living in the past, why not go get the next Bear or Spurrier. If they do get him then they want let him coach long enough to pan out:yahoo:

What really got Shula fired, is they have been beaten by Auburn 5 years in a row......IMO, it seems like any more if you can't beat your rivals in College football you're fired

IMO SHula was never going to be their long term fix anyway. He was a convenient Mr. Clean to get them through probation. The monkeywrench was when he went 10-2 last year. They had to do something for him in order not to tip their hand, hence the new contract. If you take out the 10-2 season in '05 there is absolutely NO reason why they would've kept him.

Didn't Tusk say that he would ban himself for a month if Spurrier didn't go to Alabama? Maybe that's why he is not around...

i'm too tired/too busy w/ hw to look it up, but i would think the last few years we've compiled a favorable record against our rivals... i personally only count florida and bama as "rivals", bama being most important, but even for sake of argument i'd throw ewwwga in there too and still stand by my statement. We just never beat them all in the same season and it kills us.

I think that the last time we beat them all was in 98 or 2001, maybe? I don't think we even did it then, didn't UGA beat us in 2001?

Yep. Stupid Notre Dame. I hate them so. :realmad:
I hear ya man, I wouldn't mind having a shot at them this year, I think we could beat them, and beat them soundly at that.....They aren't that great, they just plat panzies with the exception of USC and Michigan...And you seen what they did against those two, folded up like some kind of cheap tent

They could use a coach with a killer instinct.
