Which bigtime prospect are we most likely to land?

I would say Joe Jackson is a stretch. A big Memphis kid and he has them high on his list.

We need to find a kid who can stroke the 3 ball. That is the difference maker these days. Almost everyone plays above the rim now and the 3 is bigger than ever now

I don't think you could narrow that list down to 1. I think Josh Smith would be a stretch, and the others, we have just as good chance as anyone.

Payne is by far the most overrated 5 star prospect I have ever seen. The kid has tremendous upside, but by no means should be as highly ranked as he is. Payne needs to get the words "weight room" in his vocabulary before we are ready to talk about him.

Might not have a shot at any of them. Looks like Duke is all over Barnes with both coach K and wojo recruiting him. Some of those guys had about 20 schools on their list so it doesn't look like they really know what they want to do yet. I can see why Pearl wants the home and away series with Memphis instead of playing them in Nashville. Too much talent in Memphis not to go there frequently. As a Nashvillian I would love to have that game in my back yard every year but I prefer they do what's best for Tennessee basketball.

muscle certainly matters but not for everyone... look at Brandan Wright he was 6-9 200 when he went to UNC, he did fine, yes he would have been better off staying and getting stronger but he did pretty damn good id say

Trust me in this case it matters, and he is no Brandon Wright. I live ten minutes from Payne's high school and have watched him play the past two nights. He is averaging 8.2 points through 5 games in a small and terrible Division 4 league.
