In the East division of the conference, before the season started I expected:
FL to lose to KY and AU
Dawgs to beat SC
KY to beat FL, MS State, and SC
MO to beat Vandy
SC to lose to KY and UGA
TN to beat Ga State and BYU, but lose to MS State
Vandy to beat Ole Miss.
The Gators have been the biggest surprise to me. I picked them to lose to KY, and they were on track to when Philip Franks ends his season on 4th and 1 under the bright lights of Kroger Field. Enter Kyle Trask and the rest is history. They managed to stay on track vs then #7 Auburn in the Turnover Bowl and have found themselves in a nice position to compete for the SECC.
I know preseason the conventional wisdom said KY would underachieve vs 2018, but being the contrarian I didn't think they would fall off as much as they did. Losing two QBs definitely didn't help matters.
I still say TN gets bowl eligible, but because of early season stumbles they need to win 3 out of 4 in November. Doable but with no margin for error.
Didn't see MO losing to Vandy, and have them winning 3 of 4 to close out the season. Guess Kelly Bryant really shoulda transferred from Clemson.
Dawgs shouldn't have lost to SC, but they did. Coaching...no WRs...Fromm, I've heard it all. A WR room full of inexperience apparently IS a real concern, even with the Great Wall of Georgia and a first rounder in the backfield.
