the most fun to watch this spring?

QB- 4 guys competing (maybe 5 if they get one this class or a transfer)

RB- Lane and Hurd

outside WR- Croom, North, Malone, Pearson

Slot- Pig, Young

TE- Downs, Branisel (most likely out for Spring), Helm, Wolfe

OL- All 5 positions up for grab.

DL- All positions really up for grabs

LB- Weatherd, JRM, and healthy Maggitt

CB- Sutton is safe, but who steps up?

S- Could be a fun competition going into the summer.

K,P,PK- All positions up for grabs.

I don't know that QB will be the most fun but I think it will be the most important. We need consistant play out of our QB. Whoever ends up starting.

I agree. This year CBJ will really be able to put his stamp on the program with so many open positions. I think we will START to see what CBJ and his style of play.

QB will be the most watched and most interesting to watch, hopefully "fun" as well. WR will be fun too, but that obviously ties into the QB play.

Definitely NOT TE..... Downs should be immediately penciled in at 3rd on the depth chart given his "play" this year and the arrival of the top TE in the country in Helm and the highly rated Wolff.

Safety will be the most fun... With the additions of TK2, McDowell,
And the possibility of Gaulden(which is doubtful, he'll be a CB), the
Talent alone will be fun to watch...

With so much talent coming in, there's not a group where the competition will be easy. Spring practice, the O&W game, and summer preseason will all be interesting. I expect to see players stepping up all across the roster. The QBs will probably get the most attention, but all of the position battles will be great. I think we will have a lot of new faces making significant impacts next year.

Good call. I'd look for one of the young studs to supplant McNeil pretty quickly.

IDK about this because Downs tried to play while injured all year. Need a super stud at H back or blocking TE to turn loose for Hurd.

OL and WR play. Both must improve significantly.

Agreed. I marked DL though because of all the new faces.... and the quality of the JUCO's currently committed.

It can't get worse... hopefully.

QB play will determine if we win more than 5 games.

IMHO, Dobbs or Worley can win if WR play improves to a credible level. I didn't mention Ferguson because we've never actually seen him against SEC competition... or Peterman because we have.

Nothing against Nate but it is difficult to imagine him getting back into that competition.

If your first impulse was QB.... you should have answered WR.

As others have said: QB as a singular position is most important. Ferg could usurp Dobbs/Worley but it'll take a very good Spring and Fall for him. I still think it'll be Worley or Dobbs.

DL will be very entertaining to watch, IMO. O'Brien, Saulsberry, Carr and Clark return at DT. Incoming JUCOs and FR provide depth/competition.

OL will be interesting but less so than DL. I feel like the entire starting roster is pretty much decided, but there could be surprises.

WR will be interesting as I think North will be the only one returning to see significant time. Pearson/Malone will provide a lot of competition.

CB is same as WR. Sutton is North here. I still think Jones/Williams get opposite CB and Coleman fills up nickel but things could change. These FR are fast and better size matches to what our D looks to want to do.

QB. I hate to say it, but the season will be determined by how our QB situation pans out.
