I agree the 40 time isn't that big of a deal when it comes to being on the field. I would much rather have a guy that is a little bit slower in the 40, but can make people miss. As for Gault's 4.06, that seems a little quick, but it wouldn't surprise me.4.06?? I'm not sure I believe that... For all of you people so stuck on the forty time, IT IS WAY OVER-RATED!!!! How many times have you ever seen two kids in a game line up and runa forty in a straight line? Its all about angles and being able to use bursts of speed and then at times maintain your top speed to out run someone...
Thats a stereotype, because I have seen high schoolers go in and out perform College guys who have been in the program for 2 or 3 years.. I'm not saying this happens a lot, but it does more than we think... I understand that JUCO is a different level than high school, but some of these JUCO places arent very good and they play against bad competition...

The 40 times that you are refering to are not accurate at all. There was a article (I believe on ESPN.com) awhile back on the 40 time. They took the tape from the 10 fastest 100 meter dashes in history and looked at what their 40 time was. The fastest was around 4.48 I believe. So when you hear of this recruit ran a 4.4 and this one ran a 4.3 know that it is hand timed and also on the recruits start rather than a gun start.
