Tide looking at former Tennessee OT

Former Tennessee star freshman offensive tackle Aaron Douglas, who is now at Arizona Western, is getting a close look from the Tide staff.

"We're hoping that Alabama is going to take him," Minnick says. "I think chances are pretty good that Alabama is going to give him a serious look, because the kid is awfully good. He's a talent. The only thing is that I wish he'd get bigger. He's almost skinny. He's 6-5, 275 pounds. But he has great feet. He does great things."

"After he talked to Coach McElwain, Alabama jumped on the list," Minnick says. "You know he grew up a big Tennessee fan hating Alabama, but after he talked to Coach Mac that kind of changed."

Douglas will graduate next December and have two years to play.

Man, I sure wish Dooley had given him that release. Such a fine, upstanding young man who bleeds orange.

Aaron Douglas is a first class citizen and true Son of Knoxville.

We all wish him luck in his future college playing career, wherever that may be. LMFAO.

If he ends up at Bama, I wouldn't be surprised if he left the Third Saturday in October with a blown out knee due to an "accidental fall" of Tennessee defenders into his lower legs all game long....
