Which SEC team will land Chip Kelly after the failed experiment in Philly is over after 2015?

It's obvious that his philosophy is not going to work unless he has 3 QBs that he can use to run the system and take a pounding from bigger and faster defenders.

Can you imagine Kelly ending up at UF.

I think CWM is doing a great job in Gville but the Gator fans are not a patient bunch.

I think it will be Georgia. By that time, Richt and UGA will be ready to move on. Great athletes in state to run that system. Seems like a good fit.

So you've determined that it is obvious that he will fail after 3 games with an awful defense and awful QB?

From a schematic standpoint, his offense is fine. The talent level is the issue in Philly. Give him some time.

I'm hoping Chip Kelly is at Philly for at least 3 years. Not because I'm concerned about his landing spot, so much as I want to see NFL defenses 'solve' his offense.

You do realize that his "philosophy" is tempo not the spread offense. There's a reason they drafted Matt Barkley. When he was off coord at New Hampshire they ran basically a pro style offense.

Interesting...

They brought in every defensive player they could over the past couple seasons to make it good.

Why do you not fault coaching?

Ironically, you're a Chiefs fan. A team with dreadful talent and all it took was a good coach to turn it around. You realize that the Eagles are way more talented, right? Reid would be 3-0 with Philly too. Wth is Kelly's problem? I blame the coaching staff. The defense is filled with talent.

The Chiefs have dreadful talent? And where's all this talent on the eagles roster? You do realize they sucked last year right? Their defensive talent is awful.

Alex Smith
Chase Daniel
Tyler Bray

Michael Vick
Nick Foles
Matt Barkley

Alex Smith was a bum and SF. Nobody wanted Bray.

Whose QB's would you rather have?

Choice is easy for me...

And yet, Reid has made Alex Smith look amazing.

But you're right... Eagles lack talent but the Chiefs are filled with it. Has nothing to do with coaching.

The Chiefs do have dreadful talent.

You say the Eagles were awful going 4-12... uh.... the Chiefs were 2-14.

They're winning with Alex Smith... he's as bad as Mark Sanchez. Yet, Reid has made him look like Crompton after Kiffin arrived.

So the Chiefs go from 2-14 to 3-0. Win more games in their first 3 games than they did in 16 games the year prior.

Are you seriously arguing that Chiefs have more talent?

Wait, the Eagles are more talented defensively? Let's compare. Hali and Houston are 2 of the top OLBs in the league. Berry, Flowers, and Smith are far and away better than anyone Philly has at DB. Dontari Poe is dominating at NT this year and Jackson and DeVito are solid at DE. You could make a case that KC has more talent at every position, except for maybe DE (Fletcher Cox over Jackson), WILB, or maybe FS. But even at WILB, Mychal Kendricks has graded as one of the worst players in the NFL this season.

The Chiefs have significantly more talent defensively. I don't see how you could make a case otherwise.

I'll take Smith over Vick any day of the week. Smith is more accurate and doesn't turn the ball over.

You're right the Chiefs have awful talent. Eric Berry, Brandon Albert, Jamaal Charles, Tony Moeaki, Tyson Jackson, Derrick Johnson, Brandon Flowers, Dexter McCluster, Justin Houston, Quintin Demps, Eric Fisher, Dwayne Bowe. Just AWFUL talent. Funny how you picked out ONE position to try and validate your argument. And btw Michael Vick sucks.

I don't know how anyone could even blame it on the Eagles defense.

Their offensive line was a p.o.s.

Outside of that, they're superior to KC in every way.

Your defense looks worse when your offense turns it over as much as they score and constantly go 3 and out. And your offense turns it over because your QB's(plural) get sacked 50 times and your running backs get hit in the backfield constantly.

Yes the Chiefs are immensely more talented than the Eagles. It's actually not really close.

For the record...

Is a Patriots fan really arguing talent over coaching?

Bill Belichick could win with trash. He's doing it right now, this year.

The Patriots are not talented, at all. In fact, I'd go as far as saying Tom Brady would be Alex Smith. If not for... wait for it. Coaching? Bill Belichick. You can thank him for the Pats being 3-0 and all of Brady's success.

See Matt Cassel... wins with Patriots. Loses with Chiefs. Tom Brady would be the same without Belichick. Same way Cassel was.

A 2-14 team 1 year ago is really talented this year.

That's new.

So look at the talent level on defense

NT: Poe/Sopoaga
DE: DeVito/Cox
DE: Jackson/Thornton
OLB: Houston/Barwin
OLB: Hali/Cole
ILB: Johnson/Ryans
ILB: Jordan/Kendricks
CB: Flowers/Fletcher
CB: Smith/Williams
FS: Lewis/Chung
SS: Berry/Allen

The only positions I see an argument that Philly is better is DE, ILB, and FS. Lewis and Chung are about the same. Cox is a good DT for Philly. Jordan isn't that great, but Kendricks has graded out as one of the worst LB in football this season.

I don't know how you think Philly is more talented.

No it's not. Romeo Crennel was their head coach, between Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn they had arguably the worst quarterbacking situation in the league, and they were last in the league in turnover margin. That's a recipe for disaster no matter how much talent you have.
