I want our players to win every award, but honestly it doesn’t bother me if they don’t. Now if Ohio States throws a hissy fit over playing in the Rose Bowl and knocks us back into the Charmin Soft toilet bowl after going 10-2 I’ll be kinda pissed off lol

Honestly, the bowl thing is football politics, and I hate that stuff, but if I would truly be upset if our players didn’t get recognized and rewarded. They deserve some hardware.

It’d bug me a good bit if Hyatt didn’t score the Biletnikoff. 5 TDs against Alabama- a money receiver. He had a phenomenal year.

Hooker for Heisman would be second, but I hate the Heisman so I’m not quite as invested in that.

I will be most pissed of all if Alabama ends up in the CFP.

Agreed. Already getting screwed out of the Sugar since head-to-head apparently is meaningless. tOSU screwing us out of the Orange is complete BS.

All that matters is that Banks is happy since our season obviously revolved around him.

Alabubba, for sure. Screw them and the sistermomma they rode in on.

The bowl scenario may actually play out in our favor. Getting to 11 wins would continue the upward trajectory and momentum. It would also possibly result in a top 5 ranking. If Hooker was healthy, I would be more upset about being left out of the Orange for OSU. But we all saw Bazooka Joe continue to overthrow too many wide open receivers in Nashville, so I am not nearly as confident that we could beat a Clempson or the #uckeyes for that matter. I hope nothing more than for him to prove all the naysayers wrong.

I think most of Overthrow Joe's long passes are going to a "bunch pattern" in the end zone. Surely someone will get it!

All of the above. And just our luck, that insufferable Beamer will win COY and we'll have to look at that goofy grin and hear something stupid come out of his mouth...lol

Just a reminder we might be an LSU upset away from not making a NY6 game. If LSU beats UGA they go to the Sugar. The Orange has to take the highest ranked B1G or SEC team, which will be Ohio State if the Rose takes Penn State, since the Rose gets to choose. Last is the Cotton, who has to take the G5 champion and then the playoff committee picks who fills the last slot. That will almost certainly be #6 Bama instead of us.

See everyone thought the committee was trying to screw us out of the Sugar Bowl by putting Bama ahead of us. The reality is they were just making sure Bama doesn’t get left out of a NY6 bowl, even if that means screwing over UT.

If Hendon Hooker doesn’t get invited to NY or OSU gets the Orange Bowl will tick me off equally. Hooker lost his chance to win with the Georgia game, but he shouldn’t be left out as a finalist just because he got injured and missed the last game of the season against frikin Vandy. He deserves to go, period. OSU needs to take their a$$es to the Rose Bowl. Not wanting to go to that bowl consecutive seasons isn’t a good enough reason to decline. Shouldn’t have lost at home to Meatchicken.

my $.02…

- If anything, VOLS are getting screwed by being bumped by bama for Sugar Bowl via CFP committee (we‘re clearly #2 team in SEC since we beat Bama head-head and have same conference record). Only if LSU beats UGA should VOLS not play in New Orleans.

- Given above, it makes it all the more aggravating that this same CFP committee (by their rankings) May bump us from Orange/matchup with ACC champion ( I would enjoy watching UT v. Clemson and I think it would help with recruiting in NC/SC region),

- I’d prefer to play a P5 opponent than a G5 opponent given the breakout year our team has created.

- I did have a good time at 89 Cotton Bowl VOLS vs Arkansas… Jerry World probably a nice venue too.

Per second point (above), that’s why I’d suggest letting the world know that Rose Bowl is just another sh*t bowl as evidenced by OSU saying “no-thanks.” In other words, I think the former “appeal/history“ of the Rose Bowl is irrelevant now given actions of both USC and UCLA to leave PAC12 and B10 non-CFP runner-up telling this former ”prestige” venue that they weren’t interested. Let’s all pray the Sugar Bowl doesn’t suffer the same fate…

I can't answer this one boss.

We had our chances and failed.

Wherever we end up now is where we end up
