White Stripes-What do u think of them?

This used to be one of my favorite bands but their latest release of their album "Get Behind me Satan" made me wonder what they were really about. Anybody know? I've never really pictured them as devil worshippers...

They probably are not... I'd be it's just some other alternative rock band using an ambiguous and provocative title. Jack White is a strange fellow, though.

And I don't like the White Stripes.

Jack white is.......unique. He looks about as blues rock as you can get....in a dark sort of way.

White Stripes is about as satanic as mother theresa. The difference is that Jack & company aren't dead yet, so people are still free to bastardize anything the band does or says into whatever rumor or sexy story they want.

Pisses me off.

How's anybody supposed to appreciate musiic/ art/ or that they've got a hole in their heads if they think White Stripes is dangerous?

Myself somewhat of a fan.

I admire how a man and his x-wife make all the music.

I seen the Mtv2 concert the other evening. Just the 2 of them sounded like atleast a 4 or 5 piece band.

It's not from what they're playing... He uses harmonizer effects and dubs pre-recorded parts over his playing from his amp.

i hate that. thats one of the worst feelings when u come to see someone play live and their music isn't even real. :angry:

Yea that does bum ya out. But from what i understand, Jack and Meg do play all the instraments?

Maybe i just like the way she plays drums? LOL... Anyone seen the preview to the movie "Last Days" ?

Actually, he plays the stuff just not all at once. He pre-records parts that get played either through the PA or through his amp, and uses a harmonizer which makes one's guitar sound like two guitars.
