It was mentioned on SportsTalk yesterday that the UT Student section is trying for a "whiteout" of the student section, similar to what Penn State did a few weeks ago.

Any other fans want to join in?

Go Big...White!

why would you want to steal an idea from Penn State. you should think of one on your own

Actually, it was started by the Edmonton Oilers....in HOCKEY!!! :biggrin2:

It has since been copied a lot. Several teams do white-outs or black-outs. The Philadelphia Flyers have a great orange-out though...

how about a shut out.

or a whiteout would be fine.

Yes, I think we would all prefer a shutout to a white out. As long as we are the ones DOING the shutting out

Of course, then the question is, can the offense still score more points than 0?

May I ask what the point is?

I dunno, just passing the word. I guess the students are trying to think of SOMETHING to make UT Football interesting, other than hanging out with friends and drinking.

Why not wear whatever the heck you want to wear. If we have to wear a certain color for the team to play better then we are in more trouble than we think. Why not get everyone to scream and cheer every single play instead of worrying about what they are wearing. That is what would really help the team.
