Who are the idiots voting in this poll?

Trump.

Huckabee.

Palin.

Wow.

The Republicans are gonna blow a perfect opportunity by nominating another idiot. This is the time to nominate a fiscal conservative and a moderate on social issues. If somehow Palin is nominated, I'm never voting again.

"At this point, wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just hire an actor to play the president?"

Thought this was good in the comments section.

Or at least someone who is an actual politician that doesn't go out of their way to embarrass themselves.

Why do people want politicians? Politicians lie about anything to get voted in but once in many don't vote how they're constituents would want.

At least with a businessman (not necessarily Trump), they had to be successful in real life as opposed to graduating and then getting in office

That's actually something I've thought about. Why should a bunch of lawyers be telling a bunch of business owners how to run their business? That being said, I don't really think I'd want someone without political experience in charge of the country.

Sorry left out lawyer or something in between. But my point was that many don't have a job outside of politics, and I don't think that's the healthiest for citizens, or the city, state, country they represent

I think I see what your getting at. There are however several parts of political experience not needed to govern.

We have many politicians now that I consider great politicians but terrible at governing/leading.

We had a doctor before in politics named Frist; also had a businessman named Bush...

Not sure those guys really set them apart from their "peers" who were career politicians.

Of course there is going to be exceptions, besides the fact that I didn't say anywhere that all non-career politicians are better than career politicians.

I might even bet that a higher % CP are worse than nonCP, but like every group, some will suck and some will be great. Don't make it sound like I'm making a blanket statement that all CP suck and all non dont

Given his general reputation in the media, I'm surprised Ron Paul isn't included with the other nutjobs in this poll.

FWIW, I generally agree with what Ron Paul has to say fiscally and socially. I don't know if I could stomach his foreign policy though.

I don't understand the Jindal love. I don't even think his own state likes him. I wouldn't vote for any of the candidates right now (unless you consider Gary Johnson).
