Some of you young whippersnappers don’t realize how impactful the SEC used to be nor, how large some of the SEC games loomed. Some of us oldies remanence how it was before Spurrier (1990) and Florida dominated.

Who do you feel is our primary rival in football?

It's Alabama and it's really not debatable.

Florida (and Georgia) became a rival in the 1990s due to the divisions being split and those programs being good at the time. But The Third Saturday in October has a rich history of well over 100 years.

This. They were pretty much manufactured rivalries. They were distant rivals simply because they were in the conference and we played them in other sports but football we didn't play them all that much.

In the traditional sense Vandy and Kentucky are actually bigger rivals especially when you factor in basketball but football wise not so much because historically they suck and Vandy's fanbase has been dwindling a while. But they possibly might be on the uptick since they weren't awful in football this year and both basketball teams are better.

I hate the bullpuppies more than anybody in sports period.

The intensity of our SEC rivals in baseball is like the third Saturday in October every weekend.

Bama in football, Kentucky in basketball.

This. It was the same when I was here in the early '80's, and it really hasn't changed despite the Fulmer-Spurrier period where Florida was it. Hell, it's the only rivalry we've ever had with a specific date every year. In hoops it's never been anyone but Kentucky.
