Florida, LSU and UT are probably locks for the tournament.

The last few years only 5 SEC teams have made the NCAA field. That would mean only 2 of the following teams make the tournament: Kentucky, Alabama, and Arkansas. Who is odd man out at the end of the year?

Southeastern conference Standings :

Tennessee; 17 3
Florida; 20 3
Kentucky; 15 8
Georgia; 14 8
Vanderbilt; 12 8
South Carolina; 12 10

west Division
LSU; 16 6
Alabama; 13 8
Arkansas; 15 7
Mississippi; 13 9
Mississippi St.; 12 10
Auburn; 10 10

sorry bro, I think I deleted your poll by mistake. Try it again and then one of the mods can remove this thread.

Thanks

Shoe ins- LSU Tenn Fla Ky

Ky
Played Iowa, Lousville, kansas, UNC, West Virginia. They have 7 games left and should go 4-3 which will give them 19-11 record going into SEC tourney. 18-12 record should still be good enough.

Ga- NIT weak schedule playing only one ranked opponent out of conf - lost to #21 nevada. Already has 8 losses. Must get hot.

Vandy NIT at best- 8 losses already and 12-13 losses expected.

Bubbles- Ark Bama

I think Alabama will slip in because they got a good win against vandy the other night. They also beat LSU. I think Tennessee,LSU, & Florida will definitly go. The other team im not so sure about I guess Kentucky

Bama is likely in but they had a terrible non-conference performance. The lost to Temple, Notre Dame, NC State, Memphis and Oklahoma - in short, they lost EVERY non-conference game against any "name" team. Of those, Memphis is top 5 and Oklahoma is around 20. None of the others are having decent years.

In conference, Bama has an impressive win against LSU and a win against UK at Rupp.

UK has had a more impressive non-conference with wins against West Virginia and Louisville and losses to North Carolina, Kansas, Indiana.

I think UK is in and Bama is likely in.

NC State is 19-4 and in the top 15 in both polls also.

It's not a given that 5 teams make it from the SEC. As a matter of fact, it may well be only 4 this year. UT,UF,LSU and UK if they get their act together....

Yeah I agree. I think the general opinion is, Alabama is odd man out.

Considering they made the elite 8 a couple of years ago, pretty sad.

However, they got eliminated first round last year, and havent beaten anyone of note outside the conference.

Have fun in the NIT bammers.

I figured I missed something somewhere. Had Bama beat NCSt. it would be more important. Their biggest non-conference win is likely their win over Winthrop by 3 points (likely Big South tourney winner).

kentucky will get a sponsor's exemption and get in. they cant leave out the GREAT kentucky wildcats.
MEOW.

UK will likey finish with 18 to 20 wins playing a schedule that includes Kansas, Indiana, North Carolina, Louisville, West Virginia and Iowa out of conference.

Hardly a "sponsor's exemption".

UK and Vandy won't make it....UK has went on a three game losing streak and still have a tough schedule ahead of them......ESPN said they don't expect them to make it, may have misunderstood but that's how I took it.....Vandy, they won't make it...Auburn, look at their record and you'll see why they won't make it LOL

We know UT, Florida, and LSU are locks.

And almost always the SEC gets 5 teams, although 4 could be a possibility this year.

So based on that, I still think 2 of these 3 will get in, Alabama, Kentucky, and Arkansas.

Of those 3, Kentucky is probably most deserving they have played the toughest non conference schedule.

Alabama probably doesnt get in because of their weak schedule.

If there is a 5th team its probably Arkansas.

UK is 5-5 in the league. At a minimum, I think they must go 8-8, and the last three are very tough (@LSU, @UT, UF). I would not be surprised if they slide all the way out.

i agree ukvol, i think kentucky will slide there way out in this last stretch. they could loose four games the way they are playing they are not a good basketball team at all.

UT, UF, LSU, Bama

Arky is a bubble team they have to win 3 of last 6
UK has to win 4 of their last 6 and I don't know if they can

The rest are out

I think UK will sneak in, even if they go 7-9 in the conference, as long as they win a game or two in the SEC tournament (which they always seem to).... but the only three definite locks are UT, Florida and LSU. 4 teams are fighting for the last 2 spots, and I rank them in this order: Alabama (yeah, that's right - they're 7-3 in the conference, nothing to sneeze at), Kentucky, Arkansas, Vandy
