I know most of us suffer from it to an extent but for some reason, every time I watch that beautifully ugly kick, I still get nervous he is going to miss it. Like it is freaking crazy. I see him start early, thinking they are going to call a False Start, then it wobbles towards the uprights and think it is going to doink off the crossbar knowing full damn well he made it and we won. I laugh at myself every time but then think, how sad that we as TN fans almost expect this to happen to us.

As Always,

GO VOLS!!!

Anyone who has been a fan for multiple decades has been through a lot. We took everything (atleast I did) back in the late 80s and 90s for the granted and always thought we would be a powerhouse. None of us saw the wheels coming completely off after 2001 and they did. Zook was fired and Meyer and Saban joined the conference and suddenly we went from being a powerhouse to sucking. All I know is I feel very good about our future and think we have an amazing coach. I also won’t take this run for granted as I did when I was younger.

Mine is still here unfortunately. I’m excited and celebrating, but more cautiously than I wish I was. Been hurt too many times not to. Strangely I’m more worried about dropping a game than we shouldn’t than the outcome of the UGA game. I think it’s 2016 that instilled that fear in me though.

Tennessee bouncing back after loosing the lead on the scoop six was just the transfusion I needed. I think I am finally ok now.
THAT is when the old Tennessee gave way and the new culture finally shone through
Certain pivotal events become milestones and signals for a program. That drive after the scoop six was just such a moment

Yeah for me it was that earlier play that was actually brought back for pass interference on Bama. Without that call, I was sure that game was over. About damn time the breaks go our way! The fumble and score was a gut punch as well lol.

Agreed. I’m really worried about Kentucky…winning the games we are supposed to win at this point.

I’ve had it since I started following in the ‘80’s
I still can’t watch a game unless I’m there in person, and I’m always waiting for the next shoe to drop…..but I think I’m slowly coming around. I just still have those flashbacks of being REALLY talented…..and then memories of ‘89,’90, Alabama….’90 Auburn….’92 Arkansas, USCe…..and on and on. I may need psychological help to be fully cured 😅. If all one knew was pure UT suckage, this is gravy. For those of us who remember the glory years and ALL of the near misses……flashbacks occur frequently 😄
