3rd thread asking the same question...search instant impact...there's some good analysis in that thread.

I would think that Stokes may contribute some next year. Along with Oku and Gordon. I wouldnt count out James Green playing some either. We need some good WR's. I hope they give Askew a chance to contribute as well he looks like he could be a difference maker on defense.

I don't think it's just one or a few guys. I think the freshmen will help the special teams unit more than any other thing they do. Be it better coverage, better returns, punt blocks, and better blocking on the returns. The young guys will give a better effort than some of the older guys we have in there playing already.

You can probably take Eric Gordon off of the list. We will most likely have to resign him out of JUCO next year. Scored a 15 on his ACT and will barely graduate from what I have been told.

The defensive ends (Walls and Hollins) will make the most immediate impact.

Oku will be in the mix, but there is alot of talent and experience ahead of him.

I am most excited about Thigpen. If he is as fast as they say, it should be interesting anyway. Hopefully, he isn't another Leonard Scott.

I wonder what Leonard Scott would have done with better coaching.

At the very least, suction cups should have been surgically grafted to his palms in the off season. What a waste.

seeing my post, it came off as rude. I had no malcontent with the thread and nobody would come down on you that was respectable...I was just trying to be helpful because it was a good topic and some good info in the original threads...I'm guessing they were merged under a different name, but I'm 100% sure one of the Titles was "instant impact" or a variation of. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
