My daughter and her manfriend are coming from SC. My brother and his wife, nephew and maybe my niece. Certainly, Mom and her husband. I am too old to call him a stepdad. Starting to like him. Even though he is a yankee.

We're going to my sister-in-law's for xmas. She's been battling breast cancer (third round)!! She's lucky to be alive right now and her quality of life has been very very rough. If things don't work out this might be her last xmas.

Of course the sisters will have a good cry at some point (both of their parent passed away some time ago), because their mother died on xmas eve and Dec 25th was their father's birthday.

Her husband is a die hard Beaver and over the years we've found ways to get along (most of the time) by talk about things other than college sports. Got a "Go Beavs" txt from him before the OSU bowl game yesterday. Given the loss I won't mention it during our visit. He is very defensive about his Beavs. Of course he probably will make some comment about how "Phil's money" couldn't keep Christobal in Eugene. I'll just say yep you're right and move on. He loves to poke at me every opportunity he gets. Of course given the support we've given my wife's sister during her cancer treatments has gotten him to curb the assault a bit. We suspect he has a mild case of aspergers given some of the things he does and way he says things.

So it'll be a few hours of driving, about 4-5 hour visit and hopefully a wonderful day.

So sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. It's good that you can tease with family. Over the years, I have become brittle. Trying to relearn how to bend. Sounds like you are doing a good job. You just keep it up and "Go Ducks." Whoever the heck they are.

Dragging our month old boy down to Nashville to see his great grandparents since they likely won’t be around next year. Unfortunately now we are roped into seeing every aunt, uncle and distant cousin. Next year we’re just going to Florida for Christmas.

Hey, Yankee. Glad your mom will be there. Hate in-laws. Would rather call them out-laws, even if good people. You have a very Merry Christmas. BTW I have always enjoyed your gameday posts. You do a great job on research.

Awww. get it up and go on. Besides, Mr. Mad, I have probably read more Mad comics than you have!

Okay, not going to fight with you. I love you. You want validation , because at my age, then, I thought the mag was comics. We had to squirrel the mags away.. Loved Spy on Spy.

I liked Spy vs Spy and I always liked the fold-in.
