Wow, that guy is a tool.

He is right in the fact that "Separation of Church and State" is not found in the constitution. But I would love for him to take that same Constitution he threw at the camera and point to where Jesus...or even God for that matter...is mentioned, even once. Or better yet, read the establishment clause, and then explain how we are a "Christian Nation".

We are supposed to be free to worship rocks if we want to but the founders envisioned a primarily christian nation based primarily on the Golden Rule, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

If only we all lived that way whether christian or not.:hi:

Agree. I'm not sure I like his style of getting his points across, but his message is on target.

Point to me where in the constitution this is evident.

The Associated Commie Loonie Union is always wrong about everything, as wrong as Stalin and Lenin, so is any fool who supports their collectivist secular humanist religion.

I would certainly not refer to our country as a Christian nation because I don't consider the great majority of it's citizens to be Christians, especially in this day and age. A large percentage of the folks that colonized our country came here fleeing religious persecution and seeking religious freedom (Mayflower pilgrims). The founding fathers were well aware of that fact and intended to provide for religious freedom. Many of them were devout practicing Christians or at least recognized the benevolence of true Christianity and it's positive effect on the populace, and our country was founded on Christian principles, so from that perspective, it's foundation had definite Christian flavor, so to speak, but no, it is not a Christian nation by far.

An interesting link: John Witherspoon, 1775

If you go to the Founder's Almanac website, click on "Useful Quotations", under Subject select "Religion and Morality" and "Religious Freedom", you can read several excerpts from their writings on the matter.

I can't help but note that many on this forum who are quickest to argue in favor of religious freedom are also the first ones to mock and berate those who have religious beliefs.

Yeah, if you have absolutely no understanding of constitutional law.

On the contrary, what kev said is true ESPECIALLY if you have an understanding of constitutional law.

Where were the ACLoonies when Holder trampled all over the constitution and valid court orders in the Elian Gonzales case??

ACLU is nothing but a communist front organization who works to bring about socialist rule in America and have openly said so from it's beginning.

If you think the US Constitution allows a socialist dictatorship in this country, then Heaven help you, you are sadly misinformed.
