That is to say, "are we a (insert sport here) school?"

People say that Bruce Pearl plays third fiddle to football and women's basketball, but I dont think that's the case anymore.

In the fall, football is king, while in the winter/spring, men's basketball is king. The Lady Vols will always have a niche following but that's about it. I also think that if/when Dooley gets the football program off the ground, roundball will still dominate the winter/springtime.

If I'm not mistaken, Bruce Pearl is currently the highest paid employee of the University of Tennessee, and if he has any qualms about playing on "The Summitt," he shouldnt worry because if he brings a nat'l title home to the Vols, we will paint TBA white and call it The Pearl.

We are still a football school. That being said Dooley is not the king of anything.

no one with a clue says that.

What's funny to me is that the national perception is that men's bball plays third fiddle in K-town, but the men's bball team seems to get way more national attention than the other two sports.

It all just seems bass-akwards to me in that regard.

Neither were Kiffin or Fulmer........Football is king, everyone else is just a cog in the wheel (except Peyton)

It's because it's politically correct to act like woman's BB has a higher place than it really does.

If they would paint all the bridges and overpasses orange and white. To go along with the lane markers, I would vote for Driving. It is a sport.
