"Who is your team of the decade? The decision might come down to this season. LSU and Florida have two crystal footballs. USC has one, plus an AP national title, and played for a third. Each team has dipped for two or three seasons. Right now, the Trojans break that tie with seven straight finishes in the top five. Neither of the SEC teams has shown that consistency."

Well its obvious to say if Florida were to get there again this year and USC doesn't make it then they would clearly have the lead over any team this decade. But what if it is USC vs. Florida and USC somehow pulls out the win?

Found it funny some guy who commented on this story was saying Ohio State should be in the list.

Yeah. Lucking up and winning one, then getting pummeled in two other title games puts you up there in an elite category.

If Florida wins it this year, its a lock. If USC wins it, its a lock. If neither win it, then I think it goes to USC by default.

So basically, its up to Tiny Tim to get it done.

My dark horse for team of the decade is none other than Vanderbilt.

05-06 SC' was pretty fantastic. Didn't win but just had a feeling they were an absolute monster.

Even if Florida wins the title... I'll still give it to USC, unless they manage to not win the Pac-10. Florida has had a great run under Urban Meyer so far, but they also had Ron Zook earlier this decade... Doesn't help.

People are missing the easy winner. If Oklahoma wins it this year, nobody has a resume that remotely touches them. They won't win it, but if they do anyone who debates about Team of The Decade is an imbecile.

USC is in the same position.

I'm with hat on that one... Texas has it this year. Maybe even a nat'l title run in them. Who knows.

I'm usually with Hat, but not on this one. I DO see Texas in the title game, but the only way I see Texas winning it all, is if Florida loses 2 games and it ends up being Texas vs. USC or worse, a God awful Ohio St team. ( or as Holtz would predict, ND)

I do see the arguement for Oklahoma though. But USC's beatdown of Oklahoma in the title game (when it should have been Auburn) kinda breaks the tie for me.
