First of all, if X still can see the Big Board, I am going to guess that he is Kyle Strongin.

Secondly, he says that there are 28 players on the big board.

We may well lose D Young to academics, could lose J Copeland and will probably lose Ralph Williams.

How can any of that be okay?

Dooley has been quiet compared to other coaches when it comes to who we are trying to finish with. If there are 28 on the Big Board, I am not going to try to fill out the Glass/Propst type sleepers who no one will be excited about even if they are awesome because none of us have really heard of them. This post is to start the speculation of guys who TN is pursuing who you know about and would be thrilled to have. Do not say "Christian Jones is a Nole Lock..." Anyone who follows this well knows that he is likely headed to FSU. I am not looking for E Cred by divining which prospects we are in it for and correctly predicting that heavy leans go where they are leaning.

Here are 15 names that are still possible. IMO we are done at WR except for Ambles who they think is gone but would welcome back and Da'Rick Rogers. There will not be another Ivan McCartney type surprise and yet with Hunter, Meline, Milton, and either Ambles or Rogers we have an excellent WR group.

We also will not take another QB. I think the staff loves Nash and wishes we had 1 less QB in this class now.

We will not take another RB unless Dyer wants to switch or Lattimore wants to come. I do not think either are likely at all. Rajaan I think is not coming now because Rajion committed. If people are going to have names like that, I wish a mom would go with Rajun, so he could be a hero to French Lousianans everywhere.

1. Quarles. His dad had to be convinced so that he could come to TN. I think he loved the program not just Orgeron. I think his dad was right not to trust Orgeron...
2. Whittaker
3. Thornton
4. TJ Stripling
T.J. Stripling - Yahoo! Sports
5. Mike Thomas Mike Thomas - Yahoo! Sports
6. Nickell Robey
7. Jalen Fields

So many UGA names! Yep. I do not think we are in it for Garrison Smith at all, but I think Chuck is coming under the new DC, I think the recruits this weekend will know who their coach will be and I think that they will use that. The GA connection could also help with...
8. Denzel McCoy Denzel McCoy - Yahoo! Sports
9. Ryan Ayers Ryan Ayers - Yahoo! Sports
Then here are obvious names we are still working on...
10. Christian Jones
11. Byran Jones
12. Shon Coleman
13. Chaz Green
14. Michael Taylor
15. Todd Chandler

If Steele is coming (just rumor and probably wrong) I would expect us to get Justin Parker LB from SC in this class. Arie K I think is done with us although I still want him. I am sure that Cullen is not taking the math class he needs to come here. I am also sure that we are not getting Morgan Moses in this class. I did not put James Stone or Damien Robinson or Da"Rick Rogers on the list above because we all know about them.

We will not win them all, but we are in it for enough studs that we will get a great class.

Expect 5 of the quality from the first 15 with us losing 1-2 pretty highly rated guys from this class and then 3-4 guys like Crump and Glass who they think are under the radar and very good.

Who do you think could be signing day surprises that are not 3 stars who we are surprised we took, but studs who we are happy we landed?

Hubbs made it sound like alot of the names you mentioned were not very viable options any more.

I think we close strong, but I doubt we are in play with alot of the top names.

Good post though.

I am excited he is a Vol. I still want a Rajun. I also still think that being just one small letter away and in the same class as another guy named Rajaan is about the closest I may get to my dream.

Rajan is a word for King in Hindi.

Jamal is Arabic for camel, but I did wear a Jamal Can Haul shirt proudly back in the day.

Rajion Ran Over You Son would be a nice shirt with a picture of some Florida LB getting trampled.

Denzel McCoy is going nowhere. He wants to major in Computer Science at Tech.

Ryan Ayers is still solid as well.

Wait my list is right?
X on Basilio said that there are 28 names left of guys we are pursuing. He also said something as a teaser like "wish I could show them to you".

Unless he is a total jag off he did not mean a list of more Curry and Glass names.

My list is just a list of high profile guys I think we are still working to get.

Sounds like Chaz Green may be out, but we are still working on lots of very talented guys for this class.

I also think it is funny that a while back I argued with someone about Saban's defense because I said Lance had to go smaller and faster to run Monte's in recruiting. They said I was wrong, idiot etc and then Lance said the exact same thing in an interview. Now I expect Lance to get bigger and a bit slower guys because he will be doing a very similar defense to Saban. That is why I do not mind the idea of him as DC. It sounds like he is basically going to try to have multiple sets trained and be ready to do a 3-4 or 4-3 base at any time.

Who is the X and when did he say what you report? (Hint: there is a rhetorical aspect to my question as well as an earnest aspect.)

I understand what you and 'X' are saying, that Dooley & staff are still pursuing the top prospects. However, time is running out & I don't know if we get ANY of your list of 15.

Personally, I would be thrilled with Da'Rick Rogers, James Stone, Dalvin Glass, Damien Robinson, and either Dave Clark or one more DT (Mahoney or Thornton?). That takes us to 27, unless we have de-commits.

Then Propst or Crump to replace R. Williams, etc. D. Jones is not currently in our count of 22, right?

This.

That first 5 is a great finish to a great class.

The fallbacks will work, but I want everybody we have + those 5.

Thanx for agreeing with me. It doesn't happen very often lately. :hi:

Nice avatar, BTW. Pardon my ignorance, but who is that?

Sorry, I do not refer to Kiffin as X.

X is on Basilio and Batman is another "insider" who talks about recruiting.

No one knows who X is, I guessed he was Strongin, I have not bothered to check if X talking to Basilio pre dates, Strongin getting hired by Ed O.

Where did you get the names Denzel McCoy and Ryan Ayers? They aren't even in play.
