Who Just Played Their Last Game on Rocky Top?

Who just had their last home game other than Graves, Moore, and Jones?

Nice and legit poll.. My guess is they all stay if they can somehow put together nice runs in both the SEC and NCAA Tournament games.

Great win, but Holly still needs to go. Don't be deceived like we've been all season. Tennessee looses then beat a weak team and we get excited. Holly still needs to go. We need a head coach that is capable of getting this program back to the top and where recruits will want to come. Recruits are not coming with this current staff in place. We still need a change!

They all stay and the LVs go further into the cesspool with Holly's hand on the flusher. Holly gives after game interviews insisting that she really does not know what the problem is. The high point is that we are able to recruit a three star guard from Utah and fool two foreign players into signing up for 2017. All three are guards. After the program has reached an all time low, by next March Holly is fired along with the rest of her staff. We turn the team over to the volleyball coach and her staff. She wins the SEC in a move that catches the basketball world by surprise. In even a bigger surprise the team makes it to the final 4, winning their 9 NCAA title. They upset South Carolina in the NCAA championship game 105 to 54. Russell is selected as MVP after averaging 24 points and 20 rebounds a game in the tourney. With a year to play, Russell's Jersey is retired in the rafters of TBA.

The Volleyball coach is hired as the permanent LV coach. She goes on a 10 straight NCAA championship streak and the rest becomes history. Dream big or stay at home.

That is so true. I don't know how many times I have thought to myself that they have finally gotten it together only to have my hopes dashed. But you comment about beating a weak team(if that's what you consider them)... we hadn't beaten even the weakest teams lately so of course we were overjoyed.:)

I agree Holly must go. Also not a fan of Cooper at all.

Cooper played well yesterday. Our guards look bad and are inconsistent because there is NO system. Getting the ball inside is not a system or an offense. There is to much talent on this team to go to waste. Holly is NOT capable of getting this program back amongst the Elite. I'm still hoping this is her last season. She's been the head coach for four seasons and still haven't installed an offense. UConn runs a Motion offense, Notre Dame runs a Princeton Offense, Tennessee runs? Holly is stuck playing this 1980s brand of basketball. We still need a new coach.

You know it does not cost anything to actually hope that this team can still turn it around. They did a lot of good things last night and quite honestly (just as I did not see the bad back-to-back losses), I was really surprised by how well they played.

You are absolutely that if the team holds to its established pattern, the omens for tournament are not good.

But maybe just maybe, the team did hit rock bottom and now is playing as though they have nothing to lose. When Holly got irate (in the post-Bama press conference) over Draya saying "the team tensed up," maybe that was the message she was trying to send. As she said, what do they have to be tense about?

At the risk of sounding like a simpleton, the big difference between the GA and Bama games is that the LVs made their easy shots. Against Bama, they were getting to the rim but Graves, Cooper, DeShields, Nared, etc. were slinging the ball up like they were shooting over Anthony Davis-- it was crazy. Against, GA they made most of these shots and a decent % of open jumpers. As a result, they could set their defensive press and keep Ga from getting transition baskets. A formulation for success that got GA way out of kilter (particularly in the first quarter).

Nia Moore impressed me as well. I hope that Holly actually stays with this starting line-up. While Moore and Graves make for an undersized post game, that combo gives Graves more room to work in the paint and she just seems more committed to making a difference when not playing alongside Russell. And Nia is actually pretty good as a floating 4 who crashes the board and just brings energy to the team (she reminded me of the young Dennis Rodman in this game). Of course, Russell would still have a big role off the bench.

Against a team like SC, the Moore-Graves line-up might be too undersized to sustain but I think it could be successful against the other SEC teams. If the LVs could make it to the final of the SEC tourney, they might crawl back up to a 5-6 seed. I don't think that outcome is out of the realm of possibility. This game showed they can play at the necessary level; the question is can they do it over a sustained stretch of games under the pressure of one and done.

How many times this season have the Lady Vols lost to teams they should of slaughtered than beat or blow out the next opponent? Let's see what happens when they face a good team with a good coach. I want this team and program to succeed, but I just don't think Holly has what it takes to lead this program back to Final Fours and Championships. We as fan get all excited when the Lady Vols play this way against unranked opponents, which is encouraging, but I'm thinking long term. Holly is stuck in the 1980s and it's 2016. If she didn't address the offensive issues after her team put up a blazing 48 points against Maryland in the Elite 8, what makes you think anything about her coaching will change? The outdated and terrible offense and ridiculous substitutions patterns have become the norm with this staff. Players are weak mentally and show little to no signs of development. A strong coach who can recruit, evaluate, inspire, demand and has a "REAL" system will have Tennessee amongst the Elite again. Holly gives us no real confidence at all and mediocrity is right around the corner. Tennessee has lost all respect nationally, on the recruiting trail and even in the SEC. We need a long term solution and Holly and this staff is NOT the answer.

There's the problem. They're too loose. Get that corrected before the postseason. Go Lady Vols!

I thought i was going to have to be the one to point out the not-so-obvious... Even a blind squirrel sometimes stumbles over a nut"... Until I see consistency, I see a squirrel

You guys need to get on the SUmmiTT band wagon with the homers. They're ready to make Holly the "Come Back Coach of the Year!" :)

Holly will struggle against any good team and coach.
