Who knows perhaps we needed this loss

I suggested to my kids earlier today that this could be a "Tebow-OIe Miss" moment. That said though, it really probably isn't. It appears that the austin peay game told us more than we would have liked to have thought. The general concensus was the team would take a step back this year. I might like to see Nico come in a la Peyton (without the injury though, because we only have 2 QB's) and give some momentum to build on both for the team and recruiting.

Now we are back on our regular schedule.
First couple of weeks of being underwhelming , it’s “they’re not giving much away before Florida”
Then the “players only meeting is a good sign.”
And now we are at “this may be just what they needed” part of the season.

I'd be satisfied if it meant we win out .

Off the meds, are we? OMG, I'm lost for words. Did you see uga Manhandle Scar? They will beat Tenn like a rented mule. And Ala (as bad as they looked at USF) will run Milroe at us all night long. Rattler will pass us silly. The rest of them (excluding vandy, Utsa) will be a tossup. And you think the Vols can win out? Oh Man.

This season is clearly a bust if things don't change drastically. And McCoy, Thornton, Keyton, Squirrel-----all that talent will be wasted; for good. I think Nico is the only shot at salvaging the season; and to an extent, the Program. Everyone is watching, recruits, transfers, coaches, media, Bad pub these days will kill you. Put the Guy in, give him some quick throw stuff and go for it; then build on that. Joe just isn't the guy. Hate it like hell, but there it is.

yes, the sky is falling. One bad loss and some in the fanbase(?) concede the rest of the season. It was going to be hard to repeat last season with all the folks we lost. Milton isn't Hooker and Hooker isn't Milton. Realist knew this was going to be daunting for sure. Season isn't over and games, mostly difficult, remain to be played. Frankly the A & M game is the more challenging game to me. Gawja and Tyde not as intimidating as in past years. Not saying Vol W's. Ruusters will be at home which will help even things some. Kittens from ky will be a tossup game most likely. vandee at home a w unless we have fully imploded. Mizzou looks like a tossup as well. uConn will be a W. So we watch and see if team unites and gets some key personnel healthy to hopefully finish the race well.

You never need a loss in your division.
UT is now two games behind. That's what happens with one loss.
They could win out and still lose the division to Florida.
Freaking disgusting loss.

Anyone else think they still have some secret plays they're saving for Bama and Georgia?

Season is over apparently.
Depends on the quality of the leadership in the locker room....if we have any. If it's absent/weak, the schedule, while not the usual gauntlet, is plenty tough enough to send us to a 5 or 6 loss season.

Wasn’t USCjr winning 14-3 at half? UGA won by 10.

All of the talking heads said that we would have a "good" season but still experience a bit of a drop off. Thus far, they've been proven correct. Hopefully next year with Nico comfortable in the system and some of our 2024 class in the mix we have sneak into the 12 team playoff.

I'm disappointed, but I'm not giving up. Some of this stuff can be fixed. We just better hope that happens.
