Rap isn't what it used to be......I have lost my love for it, it was gone when Nas couldn't go 10 seconds without mentioning race. Still the G.O.A.T though.

Lupe Fiasco is amazing...easily the most underrated rap artist out there...Common is very good as well.

He saidI write what I see, write to make it right, don't like where I Be. Id like to make it like -the sights on tv-quite the great life- so nice and easy-ya see?-but you can still die from that-but that's better than not being alive from straps_agreed? A mead notebook and bic that clicks when its pushed and a wack azz beat-thats a track that's weak that he got last week-cuz every1 in the studio was like "that's that heat" -a bass heavy medely with a sample from the 70's and a screwed up hook that went "Stack that Chees" sumthin..sumthin sumthin. Stack that cheese" he couldn't think of nuthin "stack that cheese"???? Block impeads -cryin in the next room a baby in need of some diapers that's clean and a place to sleep-that plus a black cadillac on D's is what keeps him on track to b a great MC ----what you never heard of I ?....push it hard to further tha...grind I feel like murda but....HIP HOP DONE SAVED MY LIFE

I like the old stuff, roughly 99.5% of the new stuff (even by established artists) is crap.

just listened to snoop's new album malice n wonderland and it has some pretty nice tracks on it. It is actually pretty good.

My all time favorite artists are Jay-Z, Method Man, Redman, Black Starr (Mos Def & Talib Kweli), Fugees, Luda, Cypress Hill, Ice Cube, Common, DJ Quik, Eminem, OutKast, KRS-1, Bizzy & Krayzie Bone, Busta Rhymes, and Da Dogg Pound (Kurput & Daz Dillinger).

Now I am listening to Wale, Drake, Roth, B.O.B., Cool Kids and Charles Hamilton.

Been drifting away from rap and hip hop these last few months, but I still listen to a few artists and groups. Freestyle Fellowship, Biggie, Pac, Bone Thugs, Delton 3030, A Tribe Called Quest, Ultramagnetic MCs, etc. I prefer "Golden Age" rap/hip-hop over-all. The scene was just starting to become a little more mainstream and there were so many better and perhaps just more talented artists back then.
